== History == Duracell introduced the Bunny campaign in 1973 with the "Drumming Bunny" ad, created by the Dancer Fitzgerald Sample agency. The ad showed several pink bunnies drumming, but only the one powered by a Duracell battery outlasted the others, demonstrating the superior performance of Duracell alkaline batteries compared to older zinc-carbon batteries. Initially, the Duracell Bunny was intended for a single North American ad in 1973. Duracell had trademarked the character, but by 1988, the trademark expired. Energizer, a competitor, then created a parody of the original ad, introducing the [[Energizer Bunny]] in 1988βa sunglasses-wearing pink rabbit beating a bass drum, interrupting the Duracell Bunny's narrative. Energizer built an entire campaign around its new character. While there are similarities between the two mascots, key differences exist: the Energizer Bunny has sunglasses, larger ears, a different body shape, and is a different shade of pink. Additionally, while the Energizer Bunny is a singular character, the Duracell Bunnies are depicted as a species. Over time, the Duracell Bunny campaign evolved, moving away from just drumming and showcasing the bunnies in various activities. In 2019, the Duracell Bunny spoke for the first time, with American voice actor Miles Luna providing the voice.
