== Appearance ==
Marik Ishtar’s appearance evolves throughout the series, reflecting his journey and shifting roles.

Initially, Marik dons purple hooded robes adorned with the Eye of Anubis and a long purple cape secured by a gold chain. His accessories include golden earrings, three neckbands, armbands on both arms, and five bracelets per arm, extending from his elbows to his wrists. Marik is characterized by his dark skin, striking purple eyes, and white-gold hair that sometimes appears light gray, particularly during the Battle City tournament and nighttime scenes.

When Marik arrives in Domino City, his outfit changes to a sleeveless light purple hoodie with two gold chains on the front, paired with black pants and shoes. In Battle City, he gains a KaibaCorp Duel Disk on his left arm. The manga depicts him wearing beige pants and a black tank top under his hoodie, which later becomes the signature attire of his darker alter ego, Yami Marik. The anime, however, inconsistently portrays his civilian outfit, mistakenly giving him black pants. Once Yami Marik takes over, he is accurately shown in beige pants. During the Shadow Game where he sacrifices himself against [[Yami Yugi]], Marik wears Dark Marik’s outfit but discards the purple cloak before destroying his dark half.

By Season 5, Marik adopts a more subdued look, wearing a steel-blue shirt under a black vest, light gray pants, black shoes, and two black-and-gold bracelets.
