== Appearance ==
Nightshroud's design was crafted by Kenichi Hara. While possessing a host, he dons a form-fitting overcoat with raised shoulders, a high waistline, and gold and green accents. Underneath, he wears a tight black turtleneck, black leather pants, and black shoes. The appearance of the overcoat varies based on the host:

* When possessing Atticus Rhodes, the overcoat is dark green with a purple interior and gold trimmings extending to the upper back.
* When possessing Yusuke Fujiwara, the overcoat is black with a dark red interior, lacks the gold trimmings on the upper back, and features a blue pattern on the turtleneck.

Nightshroud's signature dragon mask resembles the head of "Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon." It is completely black except for blue eye-pieces and a red gemstone on the forehead. While possessing Atticus, his bangs extend outside the mask. In contrast, when possessing Yusuke, the mask completely covers his face, and its three horns are elongated.

Just before Yusuke's fall, Nightshroud appears briefly as an energy form—a spirit cloaked in black smoke with long, clawed arms and no visible legs. His true form is a skeletal figure resembling a [[Grim Reaper]], with glowing blue eyes. He wears gray and red robes trimmed in gold, and his dragon-shaped skull head features curved horns reminiscent of the masks his hosts wore. In this form, he does not use a Duel Disk. Instead, five wings emerge, each serving as a Monster Card Zone or Spell and Trap Card Zone. His cards materialize directly in his hands, with his Deck remaining unseen.<gallery mode="packed" widths="300" heights="300">
