==Biography== ===Dr. Slump=== In the ''Dr. Slump'' manga, Tori-Bot makes frequent appearances as a resident of Penguin Village. He lives in a small house on a hill where he spends his time drawing manga chapters, making models, and receiving rejection notices from his editor. Tori-Bot appears in various forms, including a robot, a human, and a bird, but he seems to prefer his robotic form. Although he usually appears as a cameo, there are a few stories where he plays a major role. He often tries to trick the residents of Penguin Village into participating in contests for easy prize money to boost his manga sales, as seen in "Penguin Gran Prix" and "Who's the Strongest in the World?". However, he frequently tries to avoid paying them, leading to him getting pummeled. In chapter 71, "The Time Stoppers," it's revealed that Tori-Bot is good friends with Senbei Norimaki. He once asked Senbei to build a time-stopping machine to give him more time for drawing. The machine backfired, freezing everything. Tori-Bot managed to reverse it the next day but avoided providing an explanation. Senbei also briefly rebuilt Tori-Bot's robotic body after Gatchan ate it during the same chapter. Later, in "N'cha, Penguin Village Ten Years from Now!," Tori-Bot used Turbo's time machine to explore the future of Penguin Village. He interviewed future residents and was pleased with their outcomes until he encountered his future self, who was a homeless bum begging for scraps. Terrified by this glimpse of his future, Tori-Bot returned to the present and vowed to put more effort into his work. Tori-Bot makes a minor appearance in the movie ''Dr. Slump and Arale-chan: N-cha! Love Comes From Penguin Village'', where he is seen in a crowd alongside characters such as Launch, Oolong, Mai, Shu, Emperor Pilaf, King Nikochan and his servant Pink, and Cobalt Blue. In ''Hetappi Manga Kenkyūjo'', Tori-Bot explains to his young assistant Hetappi, as well as the readers, the process of creating a manga. ===Dragon Ball=== Tori-Bot makes a few appearances in the early chapters of the ''Dragon Ball'' manga (chapters 1, 3, and 42). In episode/chapter three, "The Nimbus Cloud of Roshi" and "Sea Monkeys," he can be spotted clinging to a tree as Bulma and Goku approach the beach. In the Japanese version, he mumbles "Penguin Village...this is not," while in the manga he says "Is this Penguin Village?” In the English dubs, his role varies: the Harmony Gold dub changes his line to "What’s that noise I hear?” referring to Bulma’s motorbike; the BLT dub makes him sound like a monkey, likely due to his position in the tree; and the Funimation dub gives him some dull warbling, reflecting the American audience's unfamiliarity with ''Dr. Slump''. In "Look Out for Launch," Tori-Bot is shown on a poster in the saloon as one of the criminals already captured, with the lowest bounty, adding a touch of comic relief. He also appears hanging from a tree in the Capsule Corporation garden during the filler episode "Master Thief, Hasky." ====Dragon Ball Z==== Tori-Bot is seen among the crowd of fighters watching Goku battle Pikkon, with his head colored yellow instead of his usual blue/black. He also appears in episodes 210, "The World Tournament," and 215, "Forfeit of Piccolo." In manga chapter 480, "The Fusion Succeeds...?!", Tori-Bot appears on The Lookout, where he apologizes to his editor for having the same image of Trunks and Goten fusing used twice in the chapter, asking not to be paid for it. In ''Dragon Ball Z: [[Broly (Dragon Ball Z)|Broly]] - Second Coming'', Tori-Bot is seen briefly at the bottom of the screen. He also appears as an icon on Gohan's computer in ''Dragon Ball: The Return of Son Goku and Friends!'' alongside Neko Majin Mix. ====Dragon Ball Super==== Tori-Bot's face appears on the Zeni banknotes that Mr. Satan gives to Goku. ====Dragon Ball GT==== Tori-Bot is depicted in yellow and green on a shaving kit purchased by [[Vegeta (Dragon Ball GT)|Vegeta]]. ===Video Games=== Tori-Bot appears as "Toripo" in ''Blue Dragon'', an RPG created by Akira Toriyama. A version of Tori-Bot also makes random appearances in ''Dragon Ball Online'', where he appears on-screen with a speech bubble above his head. In ''Dragon Ball Heroes'', Tori-Bot can be selected as a helping robot. When used, he allows all of the team's super attacks to damage the opponent without consuming Hero Energy (special meter) for 4 rounds. He also appears in Defense and Attack Forms within the game.
