His first speaking role was in "The Pony," in which he greeted Gumball and Darwin with excitement on the sidewalk, but got upset when the two didn't know his name. He blocked Gumball and Darwin’s path to argue with them about it before Darwin kicked him down a manhole; he later denied them the DVD they were after.

In "The Finale," Rob is seen among a crowd of angry Elmore civilians trying to attack the Wattersons before reality is reset to the status quo.
