== Personality ==
Nightshroud is composed and methodical, harboring the belief that individuality, hope, and bonds are the root causes of human suffering. He perceives himself as a "savior," claiming to bring peace by erasing these sources of anguish through total nullification—depriving people of both hope and despair. He rarely loses his calm demeanor, even in Duels or conversations, unless caught off-guard or tricked, particularly regarding the darkness within people.

Viewing all individuals as destined to join his World of Darkness, Nightshroud considers those with Duel Monster Spirits "foreign objects" that must be eradicated. When confronted by opponents who draw strength from hope and bonds, he becomes fiercely determined to destroy these traits, often resorting to deceitful tactics such as illusions, exploiting his opponents' darkness, or turning their Duel Partners against them.

Nightshroud claims to follow the logic and truth of the world and insists he has no personal desires, presenting himself as a manifestation of inevitable darkness.
