== Personality == Paragus is never shown fighting in the movies, a stark contrast to the typical pure-blood Saiyan who revels in battle. Unlike others of his race, Paragus avoids direct combat and disapproves of his son Broly's uncontrollable violence. Instead, he is portrayed as a calculated strategist, luring [[Vegeta]] to the doomed planet before initiating his revenge plan. Paragus is pragmatic in his pursuits; with King Vegeta already dead during the Saiyan Genocide, he targets Vegeta as the next best option for retribution. Furthermore, his schemes against Vegeta and the Z-Fighters also serve as a means to take over Earth without risking unnecessary damage to the planet. Paragus shows a degree of attachment to Broly, begging King Vegeta to spare his infant son. Later, despite Broly's insanity, he expresses regret at leaving him stranded on a doomed planet (though the Funimation dub downplays this, suggesting his primary reason was Broly's uncontrollability). His ability to hide his true motives showcases his skill as an actor, maintaining a façade to manipulate others. However, Paragus shares the ruthlessness of his race, displaying a willingness to kill for personal gain or enjoyment. He uses Broly to enslave the Shamoian people and coldly murders his loyal subordinate Moah, either out of paranoia or sheer cruelty. In the Japanese version, this act is more calculated, as Paragus eliminates Moah after the latter vows to keep his plans secret, revealing a deeply distrustful and self-serving side to his character.
