Android 19 is the last android created by Dr. Gero using purely synthetic technology (though in some alternate timelines, [[Android 16]] holds this distinction). The design of Android 19 was inspired by a doll Dr. Gero had as a trophy from an enemy base. To achieve immortality, Dr. Gero transferred his brain into an android body, becoming Android 20, with Android 19 performing the transplantation.

==== Cell Saga ====
Android 19, accompanied by Android 20, first appears during an attack on an island southwest of South City. As mechanical beings with no ki, they remain undetectable to the Dragon Team, leading to [[Yamcha]]’s unfortunate encounter with them. Android 19, alongside Android 20, is involved in a violent assault that leaves Yamcha severely injured.

Later, Android 19 challenges Goku, who transforms into a Super Saiyan, gaining the upper hand. However, Goku’s heart virus, which Future Trunks had warned about, starts affecting him later than anticipated, rendering him powerless and vulnerable to Android 19's energy absorption. Before Android 19 can fully drain Goku’s energy, he is interrupted by Vegeta, who surprises everyone by also transforming into a Super Saiyan.

In the ensuing battle between Android 19 and Vegeta, 19 is severely beaten. Attempting to drain Vegeta's energy, Android 19 finds himself unable to hold on as Vegeta tears off his arms and ultimately destroys him with a Big Bang Attack, reducing him to scrap metal. After the battle, Future Trunks arrives and is initially confused by the decapitated head of Android 19, realizing it is not the same android from his future.

In the anime, Goku dreams while sleeping of defeating Android 19 in his Super Saiyan form while he is recovering from the virus.

Android 19, alongside [[Pui Pui]], is shown using Villainous Carnage after escaping from Hell. He is destroyed comically when [[Goten]] and [[Trunks]], noticing him out of the corner of their eyes, fire a barrage of ki blasts into an alley, causing his head to fly off once more.

Supreme Kai of Time Saga: An incarnation of Android 19 participates in the Super Space-Time Tournament alongside [[Android 13|Androids 13]], [[Android 14|14]], [[Android 15|15]], [[Android 16|16]], [[Android 17|17]], and [[Android 18|18]]. His team fails to advance to the second round, resulting in Android 19 and his space-time being erased.

Androids 19 and 20 appear among historical figures within the Timespace Rift created by [[Tekka]] and [[Pinich]]'s wish to [[Shenron]] for a tournament to determine the strongest fighters in time and space. They join forces with other androids from different timelines and cause trouble, primarily focusing on absorbing energy from powerful fighters. In Dragon Ball Fusions, Android 19 is categorized as an Earthling.

==== Sub-Event: "Justice's Little Ally": ====
Androids 19 and 20 are part of a group causing trouble in Satan City. If Tekka’s Team chooses to track down the "Old Guy and the Fatty," they will encounter Androids 19 and 20. During the confrontation, Android 20 questions the high power levels of Tekka’s Team, while Android 19 confirms the readings. After a battle, Android 19 and 20 are defeated and captured by Tekka’s Team, who then returns to Uub, who has also defeated Androids 17 and 18. If Tekka’s Team had selected the other group, Uub would defeat 19 and 20 by himself.

In the game, Androids 19 and 20 can also be encountered on a cliff overlooking the Future Capsule Corporation building in Area F3. They appear as a strong enemy and can be recruited by KOing them with a Zenkai Attack, after which they join Tekka’s Team and appear on the Team’s Spaceship.
