== Biography == Chelsea comes from a very traditional family. Her mother, Martha, is a staunch white supremacist and is also homophobic. Her father, Tom, who served in the Navy, appears to share these views, but it's later revealed in Season 7 that he has been in a long-term relationship with a man, Edward Boyton, who is also his former Navy comrade. One of her relatives is involved in the sex trade. Despite her privileged background, Chelsea owns several properties in wealthy neighborhoods. She was the first woman Charlie ever confessed his feelings to without being asked, a moment that almost happened by accident but was clearly meant. She first appears in Season 6, having already dated him for a period. Initially, Chelsea was seen as another one of Charlie's casual partners, but their relationship quickly deepened. In the episode "Pinocchio's Mouth," Chelsea insists on Charlie spending a night at her place, feeling justified after he had been visiting her apartment for three weeks. Initially, Charlie was reluctant but eventually agreed. However, things didn't go smoothly at her place, with Charlie struggling to sleep and accidentally stepping on her cat, Sir Lancelot, which led to Chelsea kicking him out. Despite this, Charlie managed to convince her to give their relationship another chance. Eventually, they decided to alternate nights between each other's homes. By the time of "I'd Like to Start with the Cat," Charlie and Chelsea were in a serious relationship. However, Chelsea grew frustrated with the repetitive nature of their visits and Charlie's lack of interest in her personal life. They decided to seek help from couples' counselor Linda Freeman, but Charlie felt embarrassed by the process, as he was constantly made to confront his flaws and insecurities by both Chelsea and Linda. In "She'll Still Be Dead at Halftime," Chelsea leaves for Santa Barbara to attend her ex-mother-in-law's funeral. During this time, Charlie is tempted to cheat on her with Wanda, who passes out from drinking too much. She returns after her ex-husband Alex tries to reconcile with her, and Charlie struggles to get rid of Wanda, who unexpectedly wakes up and catches him and Chelsea in bed. In "The 'Ocu' or the 'Pado'?," Chelsea is surprised when Charlie accidentally confesses his love for her, and she only responds with a simple thank you. This moment unsettles Charlie, fearing it might upset the balance of their relationship. He arranges a date and discreetly slips a diamond ring into her drink, which she unknowingly swallows. Charlie then reveals the ring to her, and she admits her own feelings for him. By the end of the episode, she has vomited out the ring, expressing her amazement at its presence. Even though Charlie is now engaged, he asks Rachel to send him topless photos, a request Chelsea discovers in "The Two Finger Rule."Even though Charlie is now engaged, he asks Rachel to send him topless photos, a request Chelsea discovers in "The Two Finger Rule." She departs, and Charlie attempts to repair their bond, but his efforts falter as he continues to be attracted to Rachel's nude photos, though they manage to reconcile by the following episode. It's clear in "My Son's Huge Head" that he truly cares for her, as he decides to look after a sick Chelsea instead of abandoning her. After she recovers, Charlie falls ill himself, and she takes care of him. In "Hello, I am Alan Cousteau," it's shown that her mother Martha is a typical homophobic white supremacist when Charlie invites her over as a form of revenge for her trying to build a good relationship with his mother Evelyn, whom he deeply dislikes. Following this, they both agree to not meddle in their mothers' affairs She later crosses paths with Rose, who is actually stalking her, but Chelsea believes their encounters are mere coincidences and is unaware that Charlie and Alan already know Rose. They become close friends by the time of "Above Exalted Cyclops," and she arranges a blind date for both brothers, who decide not to tell Chelsea about Rose's past with Charlie. She decides to move in with Charlie in "Sir Lancelot's Litter Box," but Charlie is hesitant about the idea, leading her to leave. They make up after he agrees to her living there but dislikes the changes she makes to her room. They reconcile after Alan convinces him. She rents out her apartment, not knowing that the tenant is Charlie. Following Charlie's ex-girlfriend Mia's introduction in "818-jklpuzo," she persuades him to help with her singing career. Charlie feels torn emotionally but eventually rejects Mia and chooses Chelsea. She pressures Charlie to allow Melissa to move into his house in "Whipped Unto The Third Generation," but he leaves after Alan and Melissa throw a party without his consent. Alan then tells the women that he's in charge, but they eject him. Together, they come up with a plan, and Evelyn tells Chelsea that Melissa had relations with Charlie, leading to a fight and Chelsea temporarily leaving. In "Mmm, fish. Yum.", she becomes concerned when Sir Lancelot disappears, but Jake and Charlie believe they have run over it. They keep this a secret from her and hide the dead cat's body, only for Lancelot to return. Jake and Charlie also discover that it was another man's cat they had hit. She and Jake start having problems in their relationship in "Laxative Tester, Horse Inseminator," but they later realize it's due to Charlie's constant insults towards her in front of others and make him apologize. She opts for a breast reduction surgery in "Give Me Your Thumb" following Alan's suggestion to alleviate her back pain, but backs out when Charlie mentions it might draw more attention to her larger buttocks. Together, she and Charlie plan a wedding for June 26 at the Bel-Air Hotel in "Untainted by Filth". Unbeknownst to her, Charlie has betrayed her by engaging in a threesome with Betsy and Alan. However, Chelsea has a fascinating past with the circus. In "Gorp. Fnark. Schmegle.", she invites her closest friend and college roommate, Gail, who is heartbroken after her boyfriend dumps her. Charlie battles his feelings for Gail but manages to make her leave by tricking Alan into flirting with her. In "Captain Terry's Spray-On Hair", Charlie discovers that Chelsea has been pretending to orgasm and blames himself for it. He later learns that she is upset over her husband marrying another woman, which might be impacting her sexual life. They reconcile, and she finally achieves an orgasm with Charlie. In "That's Why They Call It "Ball Room", she persuades Charlie to take dance lessons for their marriage and to sign a prenup, only to become upset upon realizing she didn't disclose her ownership of several high-value properties. He exits the bedroom, vowing to sleep on the couch. She attempts to repair their relationship through intimacy and lies naked on the couch, believing Charlie was sleeping there. However, it was Alan she was lying next to, and she is horrified upon discovering this. She grows angry at Charlie in "Warning, It's Dirty" for encouraging Jake to cheat on Celeste and ridicules his notorious infidelity at the Christmas dinner. In "Yay, No Polyps!", Charlie undergoes a colonoscopy to dodge meeting her parents, but she already knows the truth and tells him her parents are coming over during his procedure. It is then revealed that her father is actually in love with Ed and decides to divorce Martha. Ed and Tom's relationship irks Chelsea. After Alan gets into legal trouble in "Crude and Uncalled For", Chelsea finds herself drawn to an attorney named Brad and attends his charity event. Charlie suspects betrayal when she doesn't return after a while. She leaves for her father's house in "Aye, Aye, Captain Douche" after Charlie makes insensitive comments about Brad's late wife and accuses her of wanting to see Brad by using another of his charity events as an excuse, leaving Charlie heartbroken. She later meets him at a coffee shop where she confesses her attraction to Brad but admits she didn't cheat on him. She, however, leaves when a drunk Charlie vomits on a baby and later delays the wedding. In "Tinkle Like a Princess," Charlie wed Betsy to escape his sorrows but later attempts to reconcile with her after acknowledging his error. However, Betsy suggests they take a break and explore other potential partners to determine their compatibility. In "I Found Your Moustache," it's disclosed that she's begun a relationship with Brad and runs into Charlie at a cinema. Brad visits her at home to inquire about their sexual relationship, but she ends up at his place, expressing her longing for him and they engage in intimacy. Nonetheless, she departs the following day, uncertain about the future of their relationship. She embarks on a trip to Mexico with Brad in "Ixnay On The Oggie Day," but ends their relationship upon realizing he's overly dependent on his mother. She tries to rekindle her romance with Charlie but walks away after he confesses to having an affair with Gail. Upon realizing her overreaction, she makes amends with Charlie but decides to leave again upon recognizing his continued involvement with Gail. In "Gumby with a Pokey," when Charlie consumes marijuana and has visions of his ex-girlfriends, Chelsea is among them. In the Season 7 Finale "This Is Not Gonna End Well," she hosts Alan's birthday party, which Charlie initially disapproves of but later encourages him to attend, fearing he would regret not going. He arranges for Jake to drive him to Ed's house and presents Chelsea with a diamond necklace he had saved for months, mistakenly believing it was for her birthday. This gesture saddens her, leading her to leave the party with Skipper for a walk. Upon seeing her reflection in the mirror, Charlie quickly tries to escape but is arrested after colliding with a police vehicle. In "Nice to Meet You, Walden Schmidt," Chelsea is in attendance at Charlie's "funeral," where many of his previous lovers are present. She discloses that Charlie had given her an STD. In Of Course He's Dead, Chelsea is the recipient of a check and an apology note from Charlie.
