*Like the rest of Garlic Jr.'s henchmen, Nicky's name is derived from a spice. Specifically, "Nikki" (ニッキ) is the Japanese word for cinnamon. The name also resembles "Nicky," which could reference "Little Nicky," a nickname associated with the Antichrist, aligning with Nicky's demonic nature as a Serpent demon.
*The name "Nicky" was reused during the Imperfect Cell Saga, for the town "Nicky Town," where [[Cell]] regains his energy by absorbing its inhabitants.
*Nicky's battle phrases vary across adaptations: in the original Japanese version, he says "Nodoame" (a Japanese cough drop); in the Ocean and Funimation dubs, he exclaims "Tutti-frutti!"; in the AB Groupe dub, he says "You can't win."; and in the Speedy dub, his phrase is "Nodowome."
