* Paragus' name is a pun on the vegetable ''asparagus''.
* Despite Future Trunks being from an alternate timeline, Paragus seemingly recognizes him. This is considered a plot hole, as Trunks is never properly introduced by name to Paragus. A potential explanation is that spies informed Paragus of Vegeta's son, Trunks, without mentioning his age, leading Paragus to assume Future Trunks was Vegeta's present-day offspring. Alternatively, Paragus may have monitored Vegeta and his associates remotely, similar to how Sorbet's Frieza Force observed the Dragon Team after Frieza's death in ''Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'''.
* Paragus shares similarities with [[Caulifla]], as both attempt to guide and control the Legendary Super Saiyan of their universe (Broly and [[Kale]]). Both characters work to prevent their respective Saiyans from losing control of their power. Unlike Broly, however, Kale remains loyal to Caulifla.
* Paragus' relationship with Broly has parallels to his ''Dragon Ball Super'' counterpart, as both seek revenge on the House of Vegeta for King Vegeta's actions.
