This obsession also fueled his jealousy toward Peter, especially after Norman began admiring Peter's intelligence and work ethic.

After Norman's death, Harry's personality took a darker turn as he became obsessed with avenging his father's death. Believing that Spider-Man was responsible, Harry developed a strong vendetta against the web-slinger, which consumed much of his life.

When Harry eventually used a different variant of the performance-enhancing serum his father had used, he gained all of Norman's powers: superhuman strength, speed, stamina, and reflexes, as well as a low-level rapid healing factor that healed his head injury within a day.
