==Introduction==
The Character Database employs categories to easily index characters across different fictional characters. However, this leads to the creation of a superfluous category at times, more than often quite similar to a pre-existing category.

To limit the number of double-categories, keep in mind the following conventions when adding categories:

*Use Title Case for category names, eg: ''Site Administration'' instead of ''Site administration'' or ''site administration''
*Add plural of the intended category name, eg: ''Humans'' instead of ''Human''
*If the character is a tool user, add category as [tool name] Users, eg: ''Sword Users'' instead of ''Swordsmen'' or something else
