Martial Arts is defined as various techniques of attacking and self-defense, aimed at physical and/or spiritual self-improvement. In fiction, characters who have attained mastery in martial arts often surpass regular limits and become akin to superhumans. For our purposes, martial arts is attributed only to those who possess notable skill in unarmed combat. Characters skilled only in the use of weapons are categorized under Weapon Mastery. It is encouraged to specify which martial art a character specializes in, if known.
Possible Uses of Martial Arts
- Superhuman Physical Characteristics: Achieving superhuman abilities, either temporarily or permanently, or imitating such characteristics via ki manipulation.
- Repelling Attacks: Deflecting enemy attacks back at them or using their energy to strengthen oneself.
- Neutralizing Attacks: Reducing the power of or completely neutralizing the opponent's attack.
- Body Control: Controlling one's body in various advanced ways.
- Pressure Point Attacks: Targeting vulnerable points on the enemy's body to hurt, paralyze, or even kill with a touch. This includes strikes aimed at bones, joints, and internal organs.
- Internal Energy Attacks: Using internal energy (ki) to increase strike impact or generate powerful energy attacks.
