Immersion is an ability that allows us to cross the boundary between fiction and reality and immerse ourselves in the imaginary places depicted in books, paintings, films, etc. The places and time periods that can be accessed with this ability are conceptual, i.e. they do not exist in reality, but users of this ability can still interact with them and explore them, as they can with any place in the real world.
Examples of immersion would be jumping through paintings into the worlds depicted on them, entering a book and immersing yourself in the story, etc. Users can use this ability to retrieve weapons or other useful tools from the fiction, avoid attacks by entering these other fictional worlds, or use it to BFR or seal enemies. In many cases, users will need a medium to indicate their destination as a gateway.
