Intangibility is the ability to pass through physical objects and be unaffected by attacks, as they pass through the user's body. This power allows characters to pass through walls and other barriers.
The mechanics of intangibility vary by individual and may need to be activated to take effect. Many characters cannot interact with objects while intangible.
Users of intangibility should specify their method of intangibility, as different types can be countered in various ways.
Examples of Intangibility Types:
- Elemental Intangibility: The ability to become intangible by transforming into a substance like wind, fire, or water. Most attacks merely disperse the user, allowing them to regenerate. However, they remain vulnerable to powerful energy or elemental attacks.
- Immaterial: Allows the user to phase through most attacks due to not being made of physical substance, like ghosts or disembodied souls. It also includes characters made of energy. This type has weaknesses, such as vulnerability to soul manipulation.
- Phasing: The ability to phase through matter by becoming briefly intangible, sometimes by vibrating molecules at high speeds or altering density. This method does not necessarily allow phasing through immaterial energy-based attacks.
- Spatial: The ability to shift into other dimensions to avoid and phase through attacks. This method allows evasion of most attacks but remains susceptible to those that operate on similar principles or have sufficient range to target in the other dimension.
