Omniscience is the state of knowing everything, or in other words, having all knowledge. A character who is omniscient knows everything their opponent will do before he does it, and knows exactly what they must do to win a fight. However, an omniscient character can still be overpowered and lose. Knowledge of other fictions is also not a prerequisite for omniscience, so a character who knows everything about their own fictional franchise is considered omniscient.
There is also "near omniscience", where a character or entity knows almost everything about their fictional continuity except for a small amount of information (usually what an even more powerful character wants to hide from them).
