The ability to move independently in a gaseous atmosphere or vacuum can be achieved through various means, including jet thrust propulsion, inertia, or other methods such as magic or telekinesis.

Types

Pseudo-flight: Movement that simulates flight through successive teleportation or jumps.

Restricted Flight: Flight that is limited by time or maneuverability, such as levitation.

True Flight: The ability to move freely above the ground in a gaseous medium or vacuum for extended periods.

Technical Device Flight: Utilization of devices like wings, rocket engines, or anti-gravity tools to move through air or vacuum. This method relies on the device for flight.

Flight via Abilities: Natural abilities that allow movement through air or vacuum without external devices. This can include magic, telekinesis, gravity manipulation, energy manipulation, or reality warping.

Spaceflight

Refers to using technology to travel through outer space, which includes:

  • Human Spaceflight
  • Interplanetary Spaceflight
  • Interstellar Travel
  • Intergalactic Travel

Magic may also be used to facilitate space travel under different laws.

Spaceflight Types

Limited Spaceflight: Movement within Earth’s orbit without special equipment, just overcoming gravitational pull.

Spaceflight via Other Objects: Traveling using meteors, asteroids, or comets, which limits mobility and offers little protection from the environment.

Spaceflight with Special Devices: Using technical devices or artifacts for space travel, often limited by speed and range, requiring additional protection from environmental hazards.

Movement through Physical Law Manipulation: Involves travel by manipulating gravity or using portals, which necessitates separate protection against environmental dangers and often requires reaching near-Earth space first.

Movement due to Size: Characters whose scale reaches that of a planet or star can move through space with ordinary movements.
