Adaptation

Adaptation is the capability to survive and adjust to diverse environmental conditions and situations. This may involve developing abilities such as underwater or variable-air composition breathing, withstanding extreme atmospheric pressures, thriving in extreme temperatures, enhancing vision in low-light conditions, or evolving camouflage for concealment from predators.

In contrast to Reactive Evolution, Adaptation focuses on optimizing the current body's resources rather than growing more durable or powerful over time.
