Breaking Bad is an American neo-Western crime drama television series created and produced by Vince Gilligan. The show focuses on Walter White, a brilliant high school chemistry teacher who gets diagnosed with lung cancer on his 50th birthday. In order to leave his family financially stable before dying, Walter teams up with his former student, Jesse Pinkman, cooking and selling crystal meth.
A prequel series known as Better Call Saul would later be produced, focusing on a lawyer and his journey from struggling as the downtrodden yet ambitious Jimmy McGill to becoming the sleazy, infamous criminal defense attorney by the name of Saul Goodman.
A movie known as El Camino was released as well, acting as a sequel to Breaking Bad.
