Feats are significant actions or accomplishments performed by characters or entities that demonstrate their power, abilities, or attributes. They are one of the most critical tools for evaluating a character's power and are often central to discussions and debates about their capabilities.

Feats can be categorized into various types, including:

  • Strength feats
  • Speed feats
  • Durability feats
  • Destructive power feats
  • Intelligence/preparation feats

Some feats are easier to quantify and analyze than others. For instance, a character dodging a bullet from a known firearm, can be evaluated because its muzzle velocity is well-documented. Conversely, dodging a beam from an unknown Ray Gun cannot be accurately analyzed without information about the beam's speed.

Feats are often compiled and detailed in respect threads, which serve as repositories for showcasing a character's capabilities. Characters or universes relying heavily on hyperbolic claims without supporting feats are typically met with skepticism.

Important Considerations

  • Quantifiability: Feats that can be measured or analyzed using established parameters are more reliable.
  • Contextual Support: Feats should align with the context of the story and the character's established capabilities.
  • Outliers: Feats that are extreme deviations from a character's norm may be considered outliers and disregarded.
  • Canonization: Feats that have been retconned or excluded from official canon are typically invalid for analysis.
