Enhanced Senses

From The Character Database

Enhanced senses refer to having physical senses such as sight, smell, hearing, and touch that are far superior to what is normal for humans. Many animals, such as dogs (smell), bats (hearing), and birds (sight), exhibit natural enhanced senses compared to humans.

Possible Uses

  1. Enhanced Awareness: All senses are heightened, allowing the user to be highly attuned to nearby activity.
  2. Enhanced Hearing:
    • Ability to pick up every sound and decipher layers of noise.
    • Capable of hearing conversations from great distances, even in busy environments.
  3. Enhanced Vision:
    • Infrared Vision: See radiation.
    • Thermographic Vision: See heat.
    • Ultraviolet Vision: See light beyond the human spectrum.
    • Supercolor Vision: Perceive a wider range of colors.
    • Telescopic Vision: See over great distances.
    • Microvision: See very small details.
    • Aura Vision: Detect hormonal outputs.
    • Chemovision: Detect pheromone outputs.
    • Neutral Vision: See the invisible.
    • X-Ray Vision: See through objects.
    • Night Vision: See in low light conditions.
    • Panoramic Vision: See 360 degrees around.
    • Multiple Vision: See in two different places simultaneously.
    • Emotion Vision: Perceive emotions visually.
    • Atomic Vision: See atomic bonds.
    • Inside Vision: See the internal beauty of someone.
    • Soul Vision: See souls, spirits, and ghosts.
  4. Enhanced Smell:
    • Detect specific smells and their origins.
    • Identify lies through hormonal changes.
  5. Enhanced Taste:
    • Detect poisons or other issues, often accompanying enhanced smell.
  6. Enhanced Touch:
    • Feel details to an extreme degree, such as reading a page by touch.
    • Sense distant occurrences through earth vibrations.
  7. Extra Senses: Senses beyond human capability, such as:
    • Magnetic Field Detection: Sense magnetic fields.
    • Dimensional Sensing: Perceive different dimensions.
    • Temporal Sensing: Detect distortions in time and space.
    • Telepathy: Sense thoughts.
    • Precognition: See the future.
    • Retrocognition: See the past.
    • Quantum Sensing: Detect quantum activity.
    • Magical Sensing: Sense magical energies.
    • Life Energy Sensing: Perceive ki or other life energies.
    • Data Sensing: Sense computer data.

Limitations

  1. Overloading: High likelihood of sensory overload, especially for enhanced smell and hearing.
  2. Sensitivity: Strong smells or loud sounds can cause physical pain.
