Inorganic Physiology
From The Character Database
Inorganic physiology refers to the ability to be composed of or inhabit inorganic matter, granting various resistances and unique capabilities.
Possible Uses
- Resistance to Poison: Lack of organic functions renders common poisons ineffective.
- Resistance to Biological Manipulation: Inorganic beings lack biological functions and cannot be manipulated in typical biological ways.
- Resistance to Diseases: Absence of organic body functions means common illnesses do not affect them.
- Self-Sustenance: Often do not require oxygen or nutrients to function.
- Further Resistances: Depending on composition, may have unique resistances (e.g., rock-based beings resist Electricity Manipulation, noble gas beings are unaffected by natural acids).
Types:
- Living Beings: Inorganic entities with non-physical consciousness, granted life via supernatural means.
- Non-Living Beings: Robots, AI, or other inorganic beings with no consciousness beyond their physical functions. These beings:
- Are immune to Soul Manipulation due to lacking a soul.
- Are resistant to many forms of Mind Manipulation, lacking an organic brain or non-physical consciousness.
- Are unaffected by common forms of Life Manipulation and Death Manipulation, as they lack life force and are not alive in the usual sense.
Inorganic physiology provides significant advantages over organic beings in terms of durability and resistance to various forms of harm and manipulation, making them formidable entities in many fictional settings.
