Jonny Goodman
Jonathan "Jonny' Goodman (born 16th August 1991) is a character from Friday Night Dinner and is Adam Goodman's younger brother. He was formed in the alleyway behind the butchers. He is the grandson to Eleanor Buller and Horrible Grandma, boyfriend of Lucy 1, father to their unborn child, and future uncle to his brother's child. He's in his mid to late 20s and works as an estate agent. He also has a university degree in an unknown subject as evidenced by his graduation photograph in the Goodman's living room. Compared to his "failed musician" brother, Jonny has "a proper job". He's also a massive wind-up merchant. When he's not teasing Adam about his lack of a "female", he's jumping out at him from inside a bin-liner or pouring salt in his glass of water (a prank both brothers regularly participate in.)
Jonny had a girlfriend called Alison. However, no one in the family has ever met her. Alison seemed to spend a lot of time with her friend, Simon, or as Adam describes him, "Alison's boyfriend". It's possible Jonny simply made up having a girlfriend to get his parents (especially his father) off his back about "females."
He also went out with his boss, Liz, who he later broke up with due to her age.
Jonny later lost his job, and therefore got a tattoo of a red haired skull with the words, "Live fast, die young" in Latin. This irritated his mother, who doesn't like tattoos.
However, there are references to him having that job in later episodes.
In "Congratulations" Jonny arrives home and announces he's got married to an American called Lisa. They announce their divorce within the same episode.
In "The Caravan", it is revealed that Jonny has a new girlfriend called Lucy, which is coincidentally the name of Adam's new girlfriend, which is revealed in the same episode.
In the season 6 finale, Adam and his Lucy reveal they are expecting a baby and shortly after, Jonny's Lucy also reveals she is pregnant, much to Jonny's surprise. The brothers take a quiet moment outside with each other where they discuss the pregnancies and impending fatherhood for them both. They promise to still prank each other despite starting a new chapter in their lives. The episode ends with Martin, Jackie, Jim, Lucy 1 and 2, Jonny and Adam dancing to 'Hear Me Tonight' by Modjo and 'Animal' by Miike Snow.
