== Personality == Before becoming Electro, Max Dillon saw himself as a "nobody" in society—awkward, timid, and deeply introverted, but still naturally kind. After gaining his electrical powers and adopting the identity of Electro, Dillon transformed into an egotistical, power-hungry, and arrogant individual. He took immense pride in his newfound abilities, relishing the attention and recognition they brought him. This desire for power led him to develop a god complex, and he became willing to harm anyone who stood in his way. However, he showed some restraint, as he seemingly offered to spare Spider-Man's life if Spider-Man gave him the Macchina di Kadavus. Dillon's gullibility was evident when Doctor Octopus tricked him into thinking he was still an ally, leading to the temporary loss of his powers. He was also easily manipulated, as demonstrated when the Green Goblin convinced him to retain his powers by appealing to his thirst for power. Dillon believed that holding onto his abilities was the only way to save himself, fearing that without them, he would revert to being the "nobody" he once was. Despite his flaws, Dillon showed empathy towards those who understood his struggles, particularly Sandman, upon learning that they both gained their powers through similar accidents. He also expressed sympathy towards Norman Osborn and Otto Octavius, feeling a kinship with them. Additionally, Dillon showed concern for others, notably when he worried about Octavius after the young Peter Parker installed a new Inhibitor Chip on Doctor Octopus' neck. After being cured by Octavius and the Spider-Men, Dillon felt saddened by the prospect of becoming a "nobody" again. However, his spirits were lifted by a heartfelt conversation with his Spider-Man, leading to a reconciliation. Dillon harbored no hard feelings towards Octavius for tricking him and was grateful to him for rescuing him when the Statue of Liberty collapsed, revealing that beneath his transformation into Electro, he remained a kind-hearted man.
