* Rex gets frustrated with stores that don't sell items in his size, prompting Robbie to take him to the Small & Short Store. On TheSlap, Rex also complained that urinals aren't made in his size.
* A different puppet was used for Rex in the ''Pilot'' and part of ''The Bird Scene'', featuring a bigger head and no neck.
* In the promo for the ''Pilot'' (and the original cut of the episode), Rex had a different voice.
* In ''Freak the Freak Out'', Rex seems unaware of what a ventriloquist is. When the DJ calls their performance a ventriloquist act, Rex responds with confusion.
* Rex makes a cameo in the ''Sam & Cat'' episode "#MommaGoomer," though it was cut from the scene.
* Rex has his own account on TheSlap under the username "RexAndTheCity," a play on the TV show ''Sex and the City'', and has more followers than Robbie's account. He has even unfollowed Robbie.
* According to TheSlap:
** Rex sleeps for 12 hours.

* Despite his fondness for Tori and his disrespect for Jade, Rex is the only member of the gang to take Jade's side in ''The Great Ping Pong Scam''.
* Rex has the most absences in Season 4, even more than Trina.
* According to Matt Bennett in a 2021 Twitch stream, at least three Rex dolls were used during filming. Two were regular Rex dolls, and one was a stunt doll with a non-functioning mouth.
* In the same stream, it was revealed that in the opening scene of ''Survival of the Hottest'', when Rex was squirted with sunscreen, the paint on that Rex doll's face was permanently damaged, making it unusable for future scenes.
