*Wags the Dog was the fourth Wiggly Friend to debut since 1994.
*He initially appeared as a minor character in "Big Red Car," but due to his popularity, he became one of the main characters starting with "Wake Up Jeff!"
*Wags does not appear in "Wiggle Time!" (1993) or "Yummy Yummy" (1994), as both videos were released before his official debut.
*Wags usually does not speak and only barks. His thoughts are occasionally heard in some episodes of Series 2, and he had a few speaking roles, primarily during the Sam era. Since 2013, he has returned to only barking and hasn't spoken out loud since.
*Wags' birthday is August 26th, which is also International Dog Day. This idea was later repeated with [[Shirley Shawn the Unicorn]] being born on International Unicorn Day.
*Xuxa's character "[[Txutxucão]]" is based on Wags the Dog.
