Logan, while filling up Cyclops' motorcycle, discovers that Sabretooth has been trailing him. They engage in a fight, which ends with Logan victorious. However, he notices that Sabretooth possesses the same dog tags as him. The two then go out for drinks and have a conversation.

Stryker's men arrive with orders to target Sabretooth. The two men fight the soldiers together, displaying impressive teamwork, unaware that they are brothers. Eventually, they are subdued and wake up in a helicopter. In a dramatic turn, Sabretooth throws Logan off the helicopter, sacrificing himself. Later, Stryker learns that the adamantium bonding failed with Sabretooth and orders his men to shoot him with adamantium, killing him. Meanwhile, Logan resumes his search for Alkali Lake.
