Cyberization refers to the fusion of technology and organic components, creating a hybrid of biological beings and machines. This process can endow individuals with a wide range of additional features, such as superhuman physical characteristics, enhanced regeneration, and even partial immortality. Cyberization can range from minor prostheses to nearly complete replacement of biological parts.

Types of Cyberization

  1. Partial Cyberization:
    • Description: Only some parts of the body are replaced, enhancing physical characteristics and providing additional features (e.g., built-in weapons or forcefields).
    • Vulnerabilities: The character remains largely human with inherent disadvantages (e.g., vulnerable living flesh, blood circulation, and a beating heart). Destruction of these parts can be fatal.
  2. Normal Cyberization:
    • Description: The entire outer shell of the body is replaced with cybernetic devices, while only some internal organs remain human.
    • Capabilities: Increased resistance to adverse environmental effects (e.g., extreme temperatures) and the ability to convert almost all of the body into weapons.
    • Vulnerabilities: Internal organs remain vulnerable, and destruction of these can be fatal.
  3. Full Cyberization:
    • Description: Nearly everything is replaced except the brain (or sometimes even the brain, with a copy of human consciousness used as a substitute for an AI).
    • Capabilities: Virtually no weaknesses, requiring complete disablement to stop their function.
    • Humanity: These cyborgs are only marginally human, as they are almost indistinguishable from robots.
