Clairvoyance
The term clairvoyance is generally defined as the ability to receive information about an object, a person, a place or a physical event through extrasensory perception.
This can be expressed through a variety of different means, but is generally caused by magical or psychic powers.
In extreme cases, this ability can lead to mental overload or, if one's mind can handle it, even Nigh-Omniscience.
For the specific type of clairvoyance that relates to perceiving the future, see the Precognition page.
Types
Dream-sensing: The ability to see in dreams what has happened in the past or future.
Enhanced vision: One is able to locate and perceive targets and distances far beyond those of a normal person. This is one of the weakest forms of this ability and can also be considered a type of extended sense.
Mental navigation: Creating a mental map of the environment and its contents.
Visual linking: Seeing something through the eyes of another person.
Limitations
Clairvoyant abilities often require concentration and are therefore impractical to use during combat.
The degree of one's clairvoyance can vary, with some providing extremely accurate images while others can only receive vague or cryptic messages.
Another medium such as tarot cards or a crystal ball may be required.
This ability can be beyond the user's control and, in the worst cases, can cause uncontrollable or debilitating visions.
