Necromancy is the ability to control the bodies and/or souls of the deceased. This typically involves resurrecting the dead in various forms, from mindless corpses to fully conscious zombies, and even complete resurrection. Advanced necromancers may also turn living beings into the undead, bypassing conventional durability by converting opponents into mindless zombies under their control.

Types

  1. Manipulation of Dead Bodies: This variation focuses on the use of organic matter, allowing necromancers to utilize the flesh of the dead for various purposes, such as healing or transforming it into different forms. It also includes the ability to control and summon undead creatures or wrest control of enemy undead. Some necromancers may be undead themselves, granting them regeneration and forms of immortality.
  2. Manipulation of Souls: This form targets souls rather than bodies, enabling the necromancer to summon, control, and place souls in objects or living beings. More advanced necromancers can manipulate the souls of both the dead and living, compelling them into servitude or even killing them by extracting their soul.
  3. Control Over Life and Death: This subset combines the above variations, granting the necromancer the ability to freely transform living beings into the undead or resurrect the dead at will.
