Appearance[edit | edit source]

Drix has a robotic body with a distinctive red-and-yellow color scheme. His chest is red with a yellow plus sign in the center, surrounded by a yellow circle. This area functions as a storage compartment for various medical bullets, grenades, and tools that he uses in his cannon. His arms are yellow, while his hands are red. His left hand is replaced by a cannon, which he uses for tasks such as reducing inflammation, drying nasal passages, and deploying medical projectiles.

Drix's face resembles a capsule pill, with the upper portion red and the lower portion yellow, where his small mouth is located. He has white eyes with black pupils. Uniquely, Drix lacks legs and moves via effervescent propulsion, emitting bursts from his feet that allow him to hover and maneuver, akin to a rocket's thrust.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Drix is intelligent, professional, and highly dedicated to his purpose. As a straight-laced and by-the-book individual, he often clashes with Ozzy’s crude humor and unorthodox methods. Despite their differences, Drix respects Ozzy for his commitment to fighting disease and values their partnership.

He is curious about his surroundings and enjoys recognition, often striking exaggerated poses or flexing when photographed. This occasionally makes him come across as a show-off or pretentious, amplified by his formal speech and professional demeanor. However, Drix is inherently well-meaning, heroic, and genuinely pleasant, always striving to do his best in the fight against illness.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Osmosis Jones (Film)[edit | edit source]

Drix serves as Ozzy's partner and sidekick in the film. He enters Frank’s body at the request of the Mayor’s assistant to suppress cold symptoms that could harm the Mayor's reelection campaign. Following his arrival, Drix adheres to his time-released schedule, initially treating the throat and then the nose.

Although Drix and Ozzy initially clash due to their differing approaches, Drix begins to trust Ozzy after realizing his suspicions about a dangerous virus, Thrax, might be valid. When the Mayor suggests Drix pair with a different officer, Drix hesitates and chooses to stay with Ozzy. This decision marks the beginning of their growing camaraderie.

Their partnership strengthens after a candid conversation about Ozzy’s tarnished reputation due to a past incident. Drix reassures Ozzy, commending his decision to prioritize Frank’s health over politics. Their bond deepens during a mission at the zit club, where Drix awkwardly dances to fit in. Despite his initial embarrassment, Ozzy’s encouragement allows him to relax and even enjoy the moment before the two confront Thrax.

The confrontation escalates when Drix uses one of his medical bullets to detonate the zit, eradicating Thrax’s henchmen but inadvertently causing Ozzy to lose his job. The Mayor orders Drix to leave Frank, citing his actions as detrimental to the Mayor’s political image. Discouraged, Drix accepts his fate until Ozzy motivates him to continue fighting.

As Thrax launches a final attack, Drix assists Ozzy in a desperate bid to save Frank, launching him toward Thrax in the Uvula. Ozzy ultimately returns with the stolen DNA bead just in time to restore Frank’s health. The city honors Ozzy and Drix for their heroism, and Drix decides to remain in Frank’s body as Ozzy’s partner.

Ozzy & Drix (Series)[edit | edit source]

Years after the events of the film, Drix and Ozzy are accidentally transferred to the body of a teenager, Hector Cruz, via a mosquito bite. Upon arrival, they save Hector from the Scarlet Fever virus and decide to stay to prevent Hector from falling into the unhealthy habits that plagued Frank.

In the series, Drix’s arm cannon becomes even more versatile, equipped with a range of tools and gadgets, including:

  • A phone (featured in various episodes).
  • A claw-like appendage (seen in Triumph of the Supplements and A Cold Day in Hector).
  • An egg beater (used in Ozzy Jr.).
  • A film projector (used in An Out of Body Experience, Part 1).
  • A milkshake maker (used in An Out of Body Experience, Part 2).
  • A jackhammer-like device (featured in Journey to the Center of the Tooth).
  • A pen (seen in Tricky Ricardo).
  • A screwdriver-like device (featured in Street Up).
  • A Gatling gun-style weapon firing pill-shaped ammunition (used in A Cold Day in Hector).
  • A flamethrower-like device (seen in A Cold Day in Hector).
  • A water cannon-like device (featured in Aunti Histamine).

Through his dedication and ingenuity, Drix continues to be a vital ally in maintaining Hector’s health, adapting his skills and tools to tackle new challenges.
