X-24 was created by Alkali-Transigen after they deemed Project X-23 a failure. A perfect clone of Logan, X-24 resembled Logan in his physical prime. Dr. Zander Rice designed him to be a weapon. Appearance[edit | edit source]

X-24 is a genetic clone of Logan, sharing his muscular build, rugged features, and overall physicality. However, X-24 represents Logan at his physical prime, with a more youthful and unscarred appearance. His short, dark hair is styled similarly to Logan’s iconic look, but his golden eyes set him apart from Logan’s hazel eyes, adding an unsettling quality to his visage.

Typically dressed in a plain, black tactical outfit, X-24's attire reflects his role as a weapon rather than an individual. His expression is perpetually intense and animalistic, mirroring his feral nature. Despite his resemblance to Logan, X-24's demeanor and posture convey an unrelenting aggression, contrasting starkly with the weary and battered Logan seen in Logan.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Genetically engineered as a living weapon, X-24 possessed a barbaric, feral mindset. Like an attack dog, he followed only the commands of his creator, Dr. Zander Rice, targeting or killing anyone Rice directed him to. Lacking any semblance of humanity, X-24 represented what Logan might have become without the grounding influence of his experiences as an X-Man. Gabriela Lopez chillingly described X-24 as "something without a soul."

Despite his seemingly primitive nature, X-24 demonstrated glimpses of independent thought. For instance, when employees of Canewood International Beverage attacked him, he ignored Rice's orders to stand down and slaughtered them instead, driven by an apparent enjoyment of violence. After Logan killed Rice, X-24 reacted with unrestrained fury at the sight of his creator's corpse. This rage suggests either an unyielding loyalty to Rice or a deeper connection, possibly viewing him as a father figure. In his ensuing rampage, X-24's actions became even more brutal and savage, displaying a sadistic nature beyond that of a mindless enforcer. This nuance hints that X-24 was more akin to a violent and sadistic killer than a mere tool of destruction.

Biography[edit | edit source]

X-24 was a creation of Alkali-Transigen, designed to be the ultimate weapon after the failure of Project X-23. A flawless clone of Logan, X-24 mirrored him at his physical peak, with all of his ferocity and rage but devoid of compassion or self-restraint. Under the guidance of Dr. Zander Rice, X-24 was engineered to embody pure aggression. Once X-24 was deemed perfected, Transigen terminated its remaining test subjects.

X-24 was deployed to capture X-23, who had escaped and was traveling with Logan and Professor Charles Xavier. He tracked them to the Munson family farm, where he brutally stabbed Xavier, killing him, and murdered Kathryn Munson and her son, Nate. When Will Munson returned home with Logan after resolving a local water dispute, X-24 fatally wounded him as well.

While restraining X-23, X-24 encountered locals involved in the water dispute, who mistakenly identified him as Logan. In a violent frenzy, X-24 slaughtered the group before engaging Logan in a vicious battle. The fight ended when a mortally wounded Will Munson rammed X-24 with a truck, impaling him on farming equipment. Munson then shot X-24 multiple times with a shotgun, allowing Logan and X-23 to escape. However, Dr. Rice and the Reavers recovered X-24, using accelerated regeneration technology to restore him.

Days later in North Dakota, X-24 was unleashed again by Donald Pierce after Logan killed Dr. Rice. In their climactic battle, X-24 fatally injured Logan, impaling him on a tree. His rampage ended when X-23 shot him in the head with an adamantium bullet Logan had kept for himself, finally bringing the clone’s existence to an end.

Speed: Subsonic travel speed with Hypersonic+ reactions and combat speed (Comparable to Wolverine)

Lifting Strength: Class 100 (Violently moved a BAE Caiman while lifting half of it, which has a weight of 27,600 kg. Comparable to Wolverine, and hurled him with enough force to rip off said truck's door)

Striking Strength: City Block level, Small City level with Adamantium claws

Weaknesses: Animalistic intelligence. Adamantium weapons can pierce his skeleton. Also, his skeleton seems to be considerably weaker compared to Logan's, as seen when his head was blown clean off by an adamantium bullet, whereas Logan could easily shrug off two adamantium bullets to the head and still keep operating in peak condition back in his prime. His regeneration doesn't work as well as Logan's, requiring a serum to do so.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • X-24 embodies Logan's worst fears about himself: a feral beast driven solely by violence and destruction. This mirrors the internal battle Logan has fought for much of his life, similar to the role Sabretooth played as a dark reflection of Logan. Interestingly, X-24 physically resembles Sabretooth as portrayed in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
  • Hugh Jackman described X-24 as "Logan as if he was permanently in Berserker Rage," addressing fan criticism about the limited depiction of Berserker Rage in the main X-Men series. Logan only enters this state three times: in X2, X-Men: Apocalypse, and Logan.
  • When X-24's body is first revealed in Gabriela Lopez's cell phone video, it appears in separate pieces, highlighting his manufactured origin. This detail nods to Albert, a cyborg Wolverine clone from the comics.
  • In the comics, Albert is created by Donald Pierce, whereas in the films, X-24 is a genetic clone engineered by Zander Rice.
  • X-24 never speaks, communicating only through grunts and roars, reflecting his feral nature. However, he understands English commands, suggesting he was taught comprehension without speech.
  • For X-24's fight scenes with Logan, stuntman Eddie Davenport doubled for Hugh Jackman, though Jackman performed the rest of X-24's scenes. His face was digitally mapped using motion capture for accuracy.
  • Unlike Wolverine’s hazel eyes, X-24’s eyes are distinctly golden, providing a subtle visual distinction between the clone and his original.
