Appearance[edit | edit source]

In her anime-exclusive base form, Sous is depicted as a pale-skinned, human-like young woman with purple hair and glasses. She wears a white hat, a yellow overcoat, and an orange skirt over a white undershirt with long, baggy sleeves. Her skirt reaches mid-thigh, and she completes the look with red shoes. Sous has green irises with black pupils.

When transformed into Roasie, her skin becomes teal, and her glasses are replaced with orange sunglasses. Her outfit consists of a yellow and white gown worn over a purple jumpsuit, along with white gloves and boots.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Sous has a carefree and playful demeanor, as demonstrated during her fight with Goku, where she fought as Roasie while smiling mischievously. However, after her teammate Kakunsa was defeated, Roasie adopted a more serious attitude, determined to avenge her companion by defeating Goku. She is also confident in her abilities, believing she had successfully bested Goku during their battle.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Dragon Ball Super: Universe Survival Saga[edit | edit source]

Sous Roas, alongside Brianne and Sanka, represented Universe 2 in the Tournament of Power held in the World of Void.

At the start of the tournament, Sous, Brianne, and Sanka were briefly knocked away by Narirama's spinning arm attack. However, they quickly regrouped, and after an interruption by Android 17 during their first attempt, transformed into their Magical Girl forms as part of the Kamikaze Fireballs.

As Roasie, she faced off against Goku, using her Yacchaina Fist to push him back. She also launched a series of ki blasts, some of which served as clever feints, catching Goku off guard. Her aggression intensified after her teammate Kakunsa was eliminated, and she vowed to avenge her. Despite her efforts, Goku adapted to her fighting style and countered with powerful blasts, forcing Roasie and Brianne to retreat with the help of Jimizu's Instant Transmission.

Later, Roasie and Sanka lent their energy to Ribrianne to enable her transformation into Super Ribrianne during her battle with Goku. Roasie also felt Jiren's immense power during his confrontation with Goku and struggled against the winds created by Universe 7's Spirit Bomb. When Goku emerged from the explosion in his Ultra Instinct Sign form, Roasie joined the remaining Universe 2 fighters in preparing to challenge Jiren, though they never got the chance as Goku resumed his battle.

Roasie saved Ribrianne from an elimination strike by Vegeta and later inspired her to regain confidence in their fight for Universe 2. However, when Goku was left vulnerable after his intense battle with Kefla, Roasie, Ribrianne, and others attempted to eliminate him. Androids 17 and 18 intervened, challenging Roasie and Ribrianne. Despite their best efforts, the magical girls were outsmarted by the Androids' teamwork. Roasie was accidentally hit by Ribrianne’s ki blast, followed by Android 17's attack, which knocked her out of the arena.

After her elimination, Sous joined the other benched members of Universe 2 in supporting Ribrianne’s final stand. Although Ribrianne was defeated, Sous and the rest of Universe 2 rallied to lend their energy to their remaining fighters, Rabanra, Zarbuto, and Zirloin, transforming them into their own versions of the Kamikaze Fireballs. Despite their newfound power, Universe 2 was ultimately eliminated.

Before their erasure, Sous and the others united for a final cheer, celebrating love and beauty. In their last moments, they transformed back into their magical girl forms and disappeared in a heart-shaped flash of light.

Sous was later revived alongside the rest of Universe 2 when Android 17 used the Super Dragon Balls to restore all erased universes. She was seen shedding tears of joy with her teammates as they were celebrated by a cheering crowd.

Attack Potency: Low Multiverse level (Should be comparable to Kakunsa. Managed to stagger and eventually overwhelm a casual Goku with her Yacchaina Fist. Traded blows with a casual Android 17, but was ultimately defeated by misfire from Ribrianne)

Speed: Massively FTL+ (Can keep up with other universe 2 fighters, who are able to keep up with Android 18)

Attacks and Techniques[edit | edit source]

  • Flight: Roasie can utilize ki to fly, an ability featured in Dragon Ball Legends.
  • Yacchaina Fist: A unique fighting style in which Roasie's punches progressively become sharper and faster. With sustained usage, this technique generates ki blasts.
  • Ki Blast: Roasie creates these energy projectiles by heating her fists through the friction generated by her rapid punches. These ki blasts are versatile and can be manipulated to suit her strategy.
  • Yacchaina Hidden Technique: Heavy Light Shatter Burst: Roasie shoots an energy sphere with both hands. As it travels, the sphere splits into multiple smaller spheres that explode upon contact.
  • Light of Love: A coordinated team attack performed with Ribrianne and Kakunsa. Each fires a heart-shaped projectile that releases an aroma causing enemies to lower their guard and become infatuated.
  • Love Symphony: A team attack executed by Roasie and Ribrianne in the anime.
  • Mystic Attack: In the manga, Roasie demonstrates the ability to extend her arms, which she uses alongside Kakunsa to restrain Android 18.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Her name seems to be a pun, referencing the similarity between ロース (roast, often associated with cuts of beef) and ローズ (rose). This connection is further emphasized by her transformed name, Roasie.
  • An alternative interpretation of her name could be derived from sous-vide steak, a cooking method.
  • Her exclamations during combat, such as Tocchainā, Yacchatta, Acha, and Achā, translate to "Take it!", "(Accidentally) Done it!", "Oops", and "Oh no!" respectively in Japanese. Other combat cries she uses resemble traditional Chinese martial arts shouts as adopted in Japanese culture.
  • Goku’s statement to Roasie after initially defeating her—"Your fighting style was worth studying"—mirrors the exact words Android 17 said to Kakunsa.
