Appearance[edit | edit source]

Mustard is a tall, muscular humanoid alien with brown skin and a frog-like face. He has long red hair, including a pair of long sideburn-like "braids," and a pair of bull horns. His biceps are adorned with small, horn-like appendages on their outer sides. Like the rest of the Spice Boys, he wears a Frieza Force-style battle jacket: a black leotard-style armor with light purple chest and back plates. He also dons matching gloves and boots, with the boots featuring black toe caps that match his armor's base color.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Mustard is aggressive, simple-minded, and overconfident. Like Spice, he attempts to convince Piccolo to join Garlic Jr., boasting about how much he would enjoy it and how the possessed humans revere them. When Krillin steps in to help Gohan during his fight with Salt, Mustard attacks Krillin without awaiting Garlic Jr.'s permission. After witnessing Gohan tap into his latent power, he suggests teaming up with Salt to subdue the Saiyan. When Gohan destroys Salt, Mustard becomes visibly upset, demanding vengeance, and recklessly charges at him.

Like the other Spice Boys, Mustard is cruel, sadistic, and merciless, taking pleasure in violently beating Krillin and mocking him alongside Salt after Krillin shields Gohan from Salt's attack.

In the original Funimation dub, he speaks with a thick Cockney accent.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Dragon Ball Z: Garlic Jr. Saga[edit | edit source]

Mustard aids Garlic Jr. and the Spice Boys in spreading the Black Water Mist and capturing Kami. He then travels with his comrades to Earth, where they quash resistance near Kame House. Later, on the Lookout, he fights Krillin and nearly kills him. When Gohan destroys Salt, Mustard becomes enraged and charges at Gohan. However, the young Saiyan counters with a powerful kick to Mustard’s jaw, stunning him. Gohan then finishes him off with a Masenko, obliterating Mustard.

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Bodily Weaponry (Fangs and horns), Skilled Martial Artist, Ki Manipulation (Advanced Level), Flight, Aura, Limited Soul Manipulation (Demon Clansmen, by nature, banish the souls of their victims to purgatory in the mortal realm,[4] thus preventing ascension into the afterlife[5]), Limited Immortality & Regeneration Negation (Non-combat applicable; Types 2 and 3; Mid-High; The Nimbus Cloud is capable of quickly reconstructing itself after being blown to smithereens,[6] and is regarded as indestructible,[7] but can be destroyed permanently by Demon Clansmen[note 1]), Empowerment (Through the Makyo Star[3]), Regeneration (Low-Mid through the Makyo Star; Spice healed after being impaled through the heart with a spike[8]), Transformation (Can transform into a Super Makyan[9] [which also gives him Type 0 Large Size], increasing his capabilities drastically[8]), Acrobatics (Demonstrated here[1]), Underground Mobility (Snuck up on Piccolo by tunnelling beneath the ground[3]), Thread Manipulation (Via Energy Web[1])

Weaknesses: The destruction of the Makyo Star will render him powerless.[14]
