Biography[edit | edit source]

Dragon Ball Z[edit | edit source]

Lord Slug[edit | edit source]

Upon arriving on Earth, Medamatcha, alongside Angila, Wings, and three other soldiers, manages to locate the Dragon Balls for Lord Slug in under an hour, finding the One-Star Ball in a nest.

When Gohan and Piccolo engage in battle against Lord Slug and his minions, Medamatcha faces off against Gohan. He fires Continuous Energy Bullets at the young Saiyan, then uses his Medas ability to release small clones of himself to drain Gohan's energy. After Piccolo shields Gohan from a Full Power Energy Wave, Medamatcha attempts to absorb Goku's energy using his absorption technique. However, this fails as Goku punches Medamatcha, sending him flying. Goku then powers up, incinerating the Medas, and swiftly defeats Angila by destroying his head. As Medamatcha falls back down, he lands on Goku's outstretched hand, where Goku breaks his spine with ease, killing him. Goku then lets his lifeless body fall to the ground.

Fusion Reborn[edit | edit source]

In Fusion Reborn, Medamatcha, along with many other Dragon Ball antagonists, escapes from Hell and returns to Earth.

Super Dragon Ball Heroes[edit | edit source]

Supreme Kai of Time Saga[edit | edit source]

Medamatcha's version from Lord Slug's timeline participates in the Super Space-Time Tournament alongside his clan. In the manga, he pursues Xeno Pan, attempting to drain her energy using his Medas, but they are all defeated by Hit's Time-Skip. Failing to advance to the second round of the tournament, Medamatcha and his space-time are erased.

Demon Invader Saga[edit | edit source]

In one alternate space-time, Medamatcha is absorbed by Majin Ozotto.

Attacks and Techniques[edit | edit source]

  • Evil Comet – A Continuous Energy Bullet attack Medamatcha used against Gohan, later employing its Full Power Energy Blast Volley variation alongside Angila to attack Gohan and Piccolo. The move is named in Dragon Ball Heroes and serves as Medamatcha's Super Attack in Dokkan Battle.
  • Full Power Energy Wave – A devastating energy blast Medamatcha fired at Gohan, which would have been fatal had Piccolo not shielded Gohan with his own body.
  • Medas – Medamatcha's unique ability to release four small clones of himself called "Medas." These clones drain energy from opponents simply by touching them, effectively exhausting their strength.
  • Energy Absorption – In addition to the Medas, Medamatcha can drain energy directly by using his large fangs to pierce the target's skin, similar to a vampire. He attempts this on Goku after restraining him with the Medas, but Goku's strength proves far too overwhelming, even with the combined effort of Medamatcha and his clones.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The scene where Goku arrives and kills Medamatcha bears a resemblance to the way Goku incapacitates Nappa during the Vegeta Saga.
  • Medamatcha’s attire closely resembles the clothing worn by the Mutated Namekian minions created by King Piccolo in Dragon Ball. This, combined with Wings referring to Piccolo as being "from the same demon clan," suggests that Lord Slug may have the ability to summon Mutated Namekians.
  • Medamatcha's name is derived from the Andromeda galaxy, like the rest of Slug's underlings, and can be interpreted as "star medallion."
