Appearance[edit | edit source]

Cacao's body is largely cybernetic, covered in components that resemble magma-like skin. Only his neck, parts of his arms, and his head (excluding the top) remain organic. He has yellow eyes and wears a red Scouter. His Battle Armor conceals rocket-propulsion jetpacks in his legs, shoulders, and chest, enabling rapid movement and flight.

Personality[edit | edit source]

The most reserved and quiet member of the Crusher Corps, Cacao is single-mindedly focused on increasing his power. He joined the group with the hope of strengthening his cyborg body, actively participating in their destructive missions to harvest the Fruit of the Tree of Might. Despite his quiet demeanor, he shows loyalty to his team, particularly working well with Daiz.

Cacao demonstrates perceptiveness in combat, as seen when he recognizes Yamcha’s reference to the destruction of his Hovercar during Amond's attack. In versions of the film where Cacao speaks more extensively, he exhibits disdain for the life and nature of other planets, calling Earth a "filthy planet" and showing eagerness to annihilate its life forms.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Background[edit | edit source]

Cacao originates from Planet Ikonda, where he was transformed into a battle cyborg to participate in an interstellar war. Following the war, he became a lone-wolf bounty hunter. Eventually, he joined the Turles Crusher Corps, seeking to further enhance his cyborg body.

His body is constructed from a unique metal that makes him resistant to standard attacks, including Yamcha's Spirit Ball. Alongside his comrades, he traveled the universe planting the Tree of Might on various planets. The Crusher Corps aimed to consume the fruit to drastically increase their power, ultimately intending to overthrow Frieza and dominate the universe.

Tree of Might[edit | edit source]

Cacao accompanies the Turles Crusher Corps as they send a drone to Earth to assess its suitability for the Tree of Might. Upon confirming Earth as an ideal location, the group descends to plant the seed. When the Dragon Team intervenes to destroy the Tree, the Crusher Corps engages them in battle. Cacao swiftly overpowers Yamcha, demonstrating his superior combat abilities. Later, Cacao teams up with Daiz to take on Goku, but both are ultimately defeated. In a final attempt to stop Goku, Cacao engages him again but falls victim to Goku's overwhelming power during his Kaio-ken-fueled assault. Goku delivers a powerful knee strike to Cacao's chest, killing him in the process.

Fusion Reborn[edit | edit source]

In Fusion Reborn, after Janemba shatters the dimensional barrier, Cacao is among the many inhabitants of Hell who escape to the living world. However, like the others, he is eventually subdued and sent back to Hell.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Cacao's name originates from cocoa, the bean commonly used to produce chocolate and other related products.
  • Cacao's voice mannerisms and effects vary across different dubs:
  • In the original Japanese version of The Tree of Might, Cacao says "da", the Russian word for "yes."
  • In the AB Groupe dub, Speedy dub, and uncut Ocean Group dub, he communicates through grunts.
  • In the studio's edited Ocean dub and the Funimation dub, Cacao speaks in full sentences with an electronic, garbled voice effect, though his mouth remains closed during dialogue.
  • The Crystal Battle Suit from the Dragon Ball Xenoverse series bears a resemblance to Cacao's Battle Armor. However, it is a recolored version of Vegeta's Battle Suit from the Vegeta Saga, distinguishable by the metallic-colored tail matching the rest of the armor. This similarity also applies to the Gold Battle Suit, another metallic-colored recolor of Vegeta's Battle Suit.
