Appearance[edit | edit source]
Catopesra is a cybernetically enhanced humanoid clad in a blue-and-white suit with a prominent visor helmet and a glowing belt buckle that enables him to switch between different combat modes. A large "P" adorns his chest, while his yellow gloves and boots complete the ensemble. Without his helmet, Catopesra reveals his blue skin, whitish-yellow hair, blue eyes, and a broad, expressive face.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Catopesra is a calculated and strategic fighter, as evidenced by his role in coordinating with Biarra to execute an ambush against Jiren. His sense of justice mirrors that of the Pride Troopers from Universe 11, demonstrated by his determination to confront Frieza despite being easily defeated in their initial encounter. However, Catopesra showed tactical awareness, opting to challenge Frieza only in his Whirlwind Speed Mode, acknowledging his limitations in his regular state.
Courage is another hallmark of his personality, as he boldly confronted Frieza during his rampage, even when Dyspo hesitated to act. Despite his sense of justice, Catopesra can be cold and unyielding, as shown when he dismissed Android 17's objections to attacking a female opponent, stating, "There is no mercy in war."
Catopesra's confidence often borders on arrogance, as he enthusiastically describes the capabilities of his suit's modes, firmly believing himself to be invincible in his "Ultimate" mode. However, he becomes visibly irritated when his explanations are interrupted, showcasing a humorous vulnerability in his otherwise stoic demeanor.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Dragon Ball Super[edit | edit source]
Universal Survival Saga[edit | edit source]
Catopesra plays a notable role in both the anime and manga depictions of the Universal Survival Saga, showcasing his resilience, justice-driven nature, and humorous interactions with other warriors.
Anime[edit | edit source]
Catopesra first appears on Mule's planet, concealed in the shadows, before joining Team Universe 3 at the Tournament of Power. Early in the competition, he engages in a fight with Hop but is later blasted away by Frieza.
During Goku and Jiren’s intense clash involving Universe 7’s Spirit Bomb, Catopesra is seen battling Pilina from Universe 6 while standing near Biarra, who is engaged with Saonel. Later, he faces off against Cabba, but the Saiyan evades him in a cloud of dust.
When the tournament reaches its halfway point, Catopesra and Biarra devise a plan to ambush Jiren during his meditation. As a distraction, Biarra challenges Toppo and Dyspo, allowing Catopesra to attack Jiren. However, Jiren’s protective energy shield easily repels Catopesra. The failed attempt draws the attention of Toppo and Dyspo, who explain why Jiren is impervious to Catopesra’s efforts.
Later, while fighting Zarbuto, Catopesra is caught in the shockwaves from a fierce battle between Super Saiyan 2 Goku and Caulifla.
Catopesra also confronts Frieza, introducing himself as a Universe 3 policeman and switching to his Whirlwind Speed Mode, turning his suit red and increasing his speed by 300 times. Despite his flashy display, Frieza ignores him, choosing instead to observe Goku, Kale, and Caulifla’s battle.
When Catopesra encounters Android 18, he demonstrates his incredible speed by appearing behind her and nearly landing a punch before Android 17 intervenes. 17 counters Catopesra’s attack, sends him flying with a ki blast, and forces him out of the immediate skirmish.
Later, Catopesra confronts Vegeta, declaring his “luck is over” before switching to his Raging Battle Mode. He launches a flurry of attacks, which Vegeta endures while attempting to master Ultra Instinct. Tiring of Catopesra’s assault, Vegeta retaliates, easily overpowering him.
After Universes 2 and 6 are erased, Catopesra confronts Vegeta once more, transforming into his Ultimate Mode and boasting about its 300-fold increase in speed and power. Vegeta, uninterested in Catopesra’s theatrics, interrupts his monologue with an attack, forcing the Universe 3 warrior into a fierce exchange. Their battle culminates in a clash between Catopesra’s “The Final Mission” attack and Vegeta’s Final Flash, with the Saiyan’s power overwhelming Catopesra and sending him flying.
Before falling off the arena, Catopesra momentarily catches himself, only to be unexpectedly eliminated by Universe 4’s invisible warrior, Gamisalas. Sent to the Universe 3 bench, Catopesra removes his helmet and admits to Mule that he has no idea how he was eliminated.
When Anilaza is defeated, Catopesra is erased alongside the rest of Universe 3.
Manga[edit | edit source]
In the manga, Catopesra engages in a battle with Nink near the edge of the arena, but both are intercepted by Vegeta, who hurls them over the edge, eliminating them simultaneously.
Revival[edit | edit source]
Following the tournament’s conclusion, Catopesra and Universe 3 are revived when Android 17 uses the Super Dragon Balls to restore all erased universes.
Dragon Ball Heroes[edit | edit source]
Universal Conflict Saga[edit | edit source]
Manga[edit | edit source]
When the Core Area Warriors, Kamin and Lagss, invade Universe 3, Catopesra teams up with Nigrissi and Narirama to confront them. However, they are swiftly overpowered by Lagss, who traps them in glass, rendering them unable to continue the fight.
Game[edit | edit source]
In the game storyline, Catopesra falls under the control of Paparoni, who brainwashes him and sends him into battle alongside Anilaza. Together, they launch an assault on their enemies. Ribrianne intervenes, transforming into Super Ribrianne to confront the duo. She vows to free Catopesra from his brainwashed state, engaging in battle to save him.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Catopesra's name derives from the Italian word pescatora, meaning "seafood."
- His character design and themes are a homage to the Kamen Rider franchise. His status as a heroic cyborg, the glowing belt design, and his ability to switch modes reflect traits commonly associated with the Kamen Rider series, especially the Heisei-era Riders (2000–2019), such as Kamen Rider Kuuga.
- Catopesra’s costume also shares similarities with characters from Tatsunoko Productions, particularly resembling Hurricane Polimar.
- In the Dragon Ball Super anime, Catopesra plays a more significant role in the Tournament of Power compared to the manga. He is prominently featured in several battles and is the 62nd competitor to be eliminated, knocked out by Gamisalas in the latter half of the tournament.
- In the Dragon Ball Super manga, Catopesra's role is much smaller. He is eliminated early in the competition as the fifth competitor to be knocked out, sent out of the arena by Vegeta.
