  • Finger Beam – The user holds out their index finger and releases an energy beam from their fingertip. Used in the anime only.
  • Full Power Energy Wave – To use it, the user starts by charging an Energy Sphere in their hand(s). Then, they draw their hand(s) forward and fire the energy sphere in the form of an energy wave at the opponent, inflicting a great amount of damage. Called Dustard Impact in Dragon Ball Heroes. In Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission, Dustard Impact is localized in English as Dastardly Impact.
  • Continuous Energy Bullet – The user usually brings their arms to their sides, charges up ki, and then he throws his hands forward one after another as he rapidly fires many energy blasts.
  • Ah! Lord Frieza! – First, Cui charges at the opponent, but stops and backs away from them cowardly. Then, he looks behind his opponent and shouts "Lord Frieza!" making the opponent look away. Trivia:[edit | edit source]

  • Name Origin: Cui’s Japanese name is an alternate spelling of the kiwi fruit.
  • Dialogue Differences: Cui's dialogue with Vegeta varies between the anime and manga. In the English dub, Cui mocks Vegeta for being defeated by a low-class Saiyan (likely referring to Goku), whereas in the original dub and manga, he criticizes Vegeta for the deaths of his comrades Raditz and Nappa.
  • Species Extinction: During the Frieza Saga’s "Namek’s Destruction" scene, two other members of Cui’s race are shown. One is killed by the other after insulting Frieza. It is implied that Frieza nearly exterminated Cui’s species, leaving only Cui, the unnamed soldier, and the commander (Gonma) remaining. Gonma, who resembles Cui, mentions being grateful to Frieza for elevating his family's status, suggesting a possible familial connection between him and Cui.
  • Dub Pronunciations: In English dubs, Cui’s name is pronounced differently. In the Funimation dub, it sounds like "Cwe," while in the Ocean dub, it sounds like "Cu-e." The name "Cui" is similar to "Cuy," an Ecuadorian delicacy.
  • Dub Mistake: In the Ocean Dub episode "Held Captive," it was mistakenly suggested that Cui was leading the invasion personally, instead of acting on Frieza's orders, due to Frieza not having a formal debut at that time.
  • Video Game Appearances:
    • Gekishin Freeza: Cui appears as a boss with color edits named Gonma (blue) and Payer (red).
    • Super Saiya Densetsu: Cui is a boss with color edits as Gorin (teal) and Strob (green).
    • Super Gokuden: Kakusei-Hen, Goku Gekitōden, and Harukanaru Densetsu: Cui is featured as a boss.
    • Budokai: Although Cui was meant to appear, he was replaced by Great Saiyaman in the final game.
    • Budokai Tenkaichi 2: Cui is a playable character and often used as a generic Frieza Soldier. He also appears in special scenarios such as fighting Bardock and acting as a messenger for Cooler.
    • Kakarot: Cui appears as a boss in the A New Power Awakens, Episode 2 DLC, and joins Frieza's Elite during the Golden Frieza Saga
