Appearance[edit | edit source]
Ganos is a green-skinned humanoid with medium-length spiky black hair, magenta eyes, and pointy ears. His feet are large and bird-like, brown and orange in color, with two prominent black talons on each foot. He wears a dark green sleeveless vest with yellow accents, black and yellow arm bands, large baggy pants held up by a double brown belt with a red and yellow gem, and a red beret that has blue and yellow goggles fastened to his forehead with a brown strap.
When Ganos transforms, he becomes a large bird-like humanoid, growing long orange and yellow hair, feathers, and developing a thick beak similar to that of an eagle or a shoebill.
Personality[edit | edit source]
He is very loyal to his universe's gods, particularly Quitela, serving as a spy and gathering information for them. Ganos is perceptive and cautious in battle, recognizing potential threats like Frieza and advising Quitela not to underestimate Universe 7. He values his comrades, attacking Master Roshi to avenge his defeated teammates, but his arrogance about Roshi’s old age blinds him to the elder's true strength. Ganos holds a dismissive attitude toward older fighters, believing they are no longer useful, which leads to his eventual defeat at the hands of Master Roshi.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Dragon Ball Super[edit | edit source]
Universe Survival Saga[edit | edit source]
In the anime, Quitela sends Ganos to spy on Universe 7 as part of his strategy to weaken the competition before the Tournament of Power. Ganos oversees Universe 7's plan to resurrect Frieza and reports back to Quitela, warning that Frieza could be a major problem for their team. Quitela then devises a plan to have Frieza killed upon his resurrection, hoping to eliminate Universe 7 before the tournament even begins by leaving them one member short.
When the Tournament of Power starts, Ganos initially fights Goku but is knocked back by him after a brief exchange of blows. He then briefly listens to Brianne de Chateau’s cry during her transformation alongside fighters from other universes. Later, after witnessing Master Roshi eliminate two of his teammates, Ganos becomes enraged and transforms into his bird-like form to attack Roshi. However, despite the increase in his strength and speed, Ganos is unable to defeat Roshi, who has observed his fighting style and evades his attacks. Ganos powers up further and begins to overpower the older fighter as Roshi tires.
Roshi attempts to use hypnotism on Ganos, which nearly works until Ganos uses a ki blast on himself to nullify the effects, though it causes him considerable damage. Ganos resumes his assault, taunting Roshi to know his limits. In response, Roshi powers up to his maximum strength and charges a powerful Kamehameha. Ganos fires electricity at Roshi, but the older master unleashes the Kamehameha, sending Ganos over the edge of the arena and out of bounds. Ganos is later erased along with Universe 4 when Damom is defeated.
In the manga, Ganos is knocked from the arena by Kale when she becomes a Legendary Super Saiyan but manages to grab onto the edge and climb back up. However, he and Shantza are soon grabbed by Kale and thrown from the arena.
Ganos, like his universe, is erased but later revived when Android 17 uses the Super Dragon Balls to resurrect all of the erased universes.

- In the English dub, Master Roshi states Ganos' attack pattern as: "Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right," which is a reference to the famous Konami Code from video games.
