Biography[edit | edit source]
Dragon Ball Super[edit | edit source]
Universal Survival Saga[edit | edit source]
Shosa was chosen as one of Universe 4's warriors to compete in the Tournament of Power. At the beginning of the tournament, he clashed with Kettol and Comfrey, only to be knocked aside by Narirama in Super Survival Mode. Shosa then teamed up with other Universe 4 and Universe 9 fighters, including Botamo, Lavender, and Dercori, to face Master Roshi, Gohan, Krillin, Tien Shinhan, and Piccolo from Universe 7. Though they were briefly blinded by Tien’s Solar Flare, Shosa and his team recovered quickly.
Shosa later fought Android 18. Her unlimited stamina wore him down, and she knocked him to the ground, seemingly defeating him. However, Shosa tricked 18 by getting back up and sending her flying toward the edge. Krillin saved 18, and together, they attacked Shosa as a tag team, empowering their ki blast. Unable to dodge, Shosa was eliminated from the tournament. Afterward, Shosa was comforted by Nink, and he consoled Majora when he was eliminated.
When Universe 4 was about to be erased after losing all its fighters, Shosa silently accepted his fate alongside his teammates, except for Ganos. He was later revived when Android 17 used the Super Dragon Balls to restore all the erased universes.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Shosa's ability to feign death may be a playful reference to dogs being trained to "play dead." In Japanese, this act is called "Tanuki Neiri" (狸寝入り), which translates to "raccoon dog sleep." Android 18 refers to Shosa as "Tanuki Yarou" (狸野郎), meaning "raccoon dog bastard."
- Shosa's name is presumably derived from shōga (ショウガ), meaning ginger, or sanshō (サンショウ), meaning Japanese pepper.
