Appearance[edit | edit source]
Lavender has golden fur with a white muzzle and chest. He wears green pants with suspenders and often sports a slightly sadistic, deranged facial expression, which appears fierce. His build is hunched-over and lanky, giving the impression that his arms are abnormally long. While he frequently slouches, making him appear significantly shorter, he is roughly the same height as Gohan when standing upright. This height difference is primarily noticeable due to his constant slouching, which causes him to appear as two-thirds Gohan's size. Lavender most closely resembles a coyote in appearance.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Lavender is known for his underhanded fighting style, as it is stated that he never wins fair-and-square, often relying on his poison to gain an advantage. He is malicious and shows no concern for the well-being of his opponents, not hesitating to poison or even kill them if necessary.
Lavender's sadistic and psychotic tendencies are evident in his behavior during battle, as he takes pleasure in his opponent's suffering. For example, he chuckles constantly at Gohan's pain after poisoning him and even laughs when he himself is injured by Gohan.
Despite his cruel nature, Lavender cares deeply for his brothers, much like his sibling Basil. His loyalty is demonstrated when he immediately rushes into the ring to assist Bergamo after Goku defeats him, showing his strong familial bond and willingness to support his family in times of need.

Dragon Ball Super[edit | edit source]
Universe Survival Saga[edit | edit source]
Lavender and the other members of the Trio of Danger are selected to represent Universe 9 in the Zen Exhibition Match, a prelude to the Tournament of Power. During the match, Universe 9 faces off against Universe 7, and Lavender is pitted against Gohan.
Lavender quickly engages Gohan, evading his initial attacks by jumping onto his arm and breathing poison into his face, blinding him. He follows up by coating his hands with poison and mercilessly attacking the incapacitated Gohan. As Gohan starts to adapt, he manages to block one of Lavender’s attacks, surprising Lavender. Mocking Gohan while circling him, Lavender is caught off-guard when Gohan successfully defends himself, having learned to sense Lavender's movements despite his blindness.
Realizing Gohan is tracking him through sound, Lavender takes to the air to avoid detection and attacks Gohan with poison-infused ki blasts. In response, Gohan transforms into a Super Saiyan, deflecting the blasts. The two trade blows, with Gohan gaining the upper hand. However, the poison in Gohan's system progresses, causing him to faint.
Lavender resumes his assault on Gohan until he wakes up and once again dominates the fight. In desperation, Lavender fires a massive poison-infused ki blast, but Gohan counters it with a Kamehameha. The advancing poison weakens Gohan, allowing Lavender to gain an advantage and knock Gohan to the ground. Lavender attempts to finish Gohan by releasing a large poison cloud, but Gohan surprises him by flying through it, grabbing Lavender, and slamming him into the ground.
When the dust settles, Lavender is knocked out cold, but Gohan collapses from the poison. The Grand Priest declares the match a draw, as neither fighter is capable of continuing.
After the preliminaries, Lavender and his team from Universe 9 are sent back to their home planet. The Trio of Danger, alongside Sidra and Roh, struggle to recruit members for their team for the Tournament of Power. However, they eventually manage to gather seven more fighters to complete their group.
At the start of the Battle Royal, Lavender, Comfrey, Shosa, Botamo, and Dercori target Gohan, Piccolo, Tien Shinhan, Krillin, and Master Roshi. As they charge, the Universe 7 fighters leap into the air and attack with their signature moves, blinding them with Tien's Solar Flare. Despite the attack, the Universe 9 fighters emerge unharmed. Later on, Lavender, his brothers, and two other fighters gang up on Goku, nearly defeating him before Vegeta intervenes. Lavender, along with Hop, focuses on Vegeta, but their teamwork falters as they get close to victory. With only Lavender and his brothers remaining after the rest of Universe 9's team is defeated, they combine their powers for a final stand but are ultimately overpowered. Lavender, his brothers, and the entire Universe 9 team, including Sidra and Roh, are erased by the two Zenos.
In the manga version of the Tournament of Power, Lavender, his brothers, and the rest of Team Universe 9 face off against Team Universe 3's Pancéa, Koitsukai, and Narirama. Later, the trio attack Gohan, gaining the upper hand through teamwork. However, Gohan manages to repel them with an explosive wave after noticing Piccolo in trouble. The trio then regroup with their team to fight Gohan and Piccolo, but Frost interrupts, eliminating everyone except the Trio of Danger. Lavender and Basil then resume their attack on Gohan, but before they can strike, both are knocked off the stage by Frieza. After Frieza eliminates Bergamo, Universe 9 is erased.
Lavender is later revived with the rest of his universe when Android 17 uses the Super Dragon Balls to resurrect all erased universes.

Attacks and Techniques[edit | edit source]
- Energy Wave – Lavender can fire basic energy waves and infuse them with his poison in the anime.
- Undetectable Ki – Lavender's ki is impossible to detect, as noted by Goku during their battle in the anime.
- Poison Blow – Lavender can freely manipulate poison, using it to blind his foes or enhance his physical and ki attacks. Excessive exposure to his poison can cause the body to rot. However, Gohan taught Goku and Vegeta a technique that protects them from his poison with a small ki barrier.
- Poison Breath – By breathing poison at his opponent, Lavender can contaminate their body, causing it to rot. When it hits their eyes, it can blind them unless they can regenerate.
- Poison Blow (Variation) – Lavender creates a mist of poison around his hands and attacks his opponent, enhancing the damage with the toxin.
- Venom Sniper (ヴェノムスナイパー Vuenomu Sunaipā) – Lavender unleashes a full-power energy wave infused with poison. It was strong enough to match Gohan’s Kamehameha when Gohan was poisoned.
- Dangers' Triangle – A team technique of the Trio De Dangers. Lavender, Basil, and Bergamo surround an opponent and quickly switch places in a triangle formation, striking whenever an opening presents itself. They use this to defeat stronger opponents who cannot be beaten individually.
- Triangle Danger Beam – Lavender, along with his brothers, fires a full-power energy wave (Lavender’s is yellow) as part of a combined attack against Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta’s Final Kamehameha. Despite their efforts, the Trio's beam is overpowered, leading to their defeat and Universe 9's erasure.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Lavender's name is derived from the herb "lavender," which is known for its detoxifying properties, creating an ironic contrast as he inflicts poison instead.
- Early supplemental material mistakenly referred to Bergamo as "Poison Bergamo," suggesting he had poisonous abilities. However, it was later revealed that Lavender possessed these traits, not Bergamo.
- In initial material, Lavender was incorrectly listed as the eldest brother, and Bergamo as the middle brother. This was later corrected in the anime, where Bergamo is shown as the eldest and Lavender the middle.
- Lavender’s fighting style is similar to Frost’s, but unlike Frost, who uses poisoned needles, Lavender’s poison is naturally produced by his body, making it a technique rather than a weapon.
- Lavender shares similarities with Haze Shenron, both being antagonists who have abilities tied to toxins (Haze Shenron wields pollution-based powers).
- He is the only member of the Trio De Dangers who does not showcase a "Wolfgang"-named attack in either the Zen Exhibition Match or the Tournament of Power.
- Lavender’s relatively short stature might be a nod to the typically smaller size of coyotes, which he resembles.
