Appearance[edit | edit source]

Dorodabo is a large, gargoyle-like demon with brown skin. He has an imposing frame that enhances his fearsome presence.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Dorodabo is a cruel, boastful, and cunning individual who takes great pride in serving Lord Slug. He is fiercely loyal to his master, carrying out his orders without hesitation, and he firmly believes in Lord Slug's invincibility. Despite his loyalty, Dorodabo is opportunistic, as shown when he offers Piccolo a chance to join Lord Slug after being defeated in battle, appealing to their supposed shared "Demon Clan" heritage.

Dorodabo is also a braggart, often overestimating his own strength. He initially fights Piccolo with confidence but quickly resorts to surrender when overwhelmed. While he shows cunning in battle, he is also prone to underestimating his opponents, which ultimately leads to his demise at Piccolo's hands.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Dragon Ball Z[edit | edit source]

Lord Slug[edit | edit source]

When Lord Slug and his minions arrive on Earth, Dorodabo participates in collecting the Dragon Balls, finding the Five-Star Ball on a rocky mountain. After the planet is terra-frozen, Dorodabo faces Piccolo in battle when Piccolo and Gohan challenge Slug’s forces.

During their fight, Piccolo overwhelms Dorodabo, crushing and breaking his arm. Severely weakened, Dorodabo surrenders, complimenting Piccolo's strength and suggesting an alliance against Lord Slug. Believing his offer was accepted, Dorodabo extends his hand, but Piccolo blasts him point-blank in the face with an energy attack, vaporizing his head and killing him instantly.

Fusion Reborn[edit | edit source]

Dorodabo reappears as part of the escaped villains from Hell. However, his appearance differs, featuring dark green skin, yellow wrists, darker brown Dorodabo, white armor with brown shoulder plates, a greenish-turquoise waist sash, and tan pants.

Super Dragon Ball Heroes[edit | edit source]

Supreme Kai of Time Saga[edit | edit source]

Dorodabo’ incarnation from Lord Slug’s timeline competes in the Super Space-Time Tournament alongside his clan. In the manga, Dorodabo teams up with Angila, Commander Zeeun, and other villains, including Yamu, Spopovich, Yakon, Recoome, Jeice, and Guldo, to battle Yamcha. However, Jiren effortlessly defeats them all with a single blow. After failing to advance to the second round, Dorodabo and his space-time are erased.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • In the original Japanese dialogue, just before his death, Dorodabo refers to himself and Piccolo as "Demon Clansmen," alluding to the fact that Piccolo and King Piccolo were originally demons rather than Namekians.
  • Dorodabo's name, derives from the Japanese pronunciation of "Andromeda," aligning with the naming convention of Lord Slug’s henchmen. The name can be loosely translated as "mushy dowel."
  • Dorodabo’ design was inspired by Dodoria, evident in his gargoyle-like appearance and large frame.
  • In the film, when Piccolo grabs Dorodabo' arm, Dorodabo mistakenly believes Piccolo has accepted his offer due to their shared connection to the "Demon Clan." This term may reference Dorodabo’ allegiance to an Evil Namekian (Lord Slug) and Piccolo's origin as a reincarnation of King Piccolo.
  • In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Elder Kai and Lord Slug confirm that Slug's clan primarily consists of demons, reinforcing the idea that Dorodabo either is a demon or identifies as part of the Demon Clan under Lord Slug’s leadership.
