Appearance:[edit | edit source]

Dore is a large, green-skinned humanoid with long black hair similar to Raditz. He wears the same upper body armor as his comrades, a white helmet with a brown center, and a yellow Scouter. He does not wear lower body armor except for purple underwear.

Personality:[edit | edit source]

Dore is bloodthirsty and overconfident, often belittling and bullying those weaker than himself. He is sadistic and cruel, as shown by his threats to crush Gohan's skull. Despite his perceptiveness, such as recognizing the importance of Gohan’s bag of Senzu Beans, he is also forgetful, needing reminders about Namek’s destruction. Dore’s intelligence is questionable, though he does demonstrate some recognition of Meta-Cooler as distinct from his boss. Like his teammates, Dore is extremely loyal and respectful to Cooler.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Background[edit | edit source]

Dore hails from planet Coola No. 256 (formerly planet Beppa), where the continents are surrounded by lava, giving him an extremely tough body. He used his formidable physique as a wrestler in the Galactic Pro Wrestling League, where he remained undefeated in 300 matches, killing all of his opponents.[1] After Cooler subjugated his planet, Dore left the wrestling league and was recruited into Cooler's Armored Squadron.

Cooler's Revenge[edit | edit source]

Dore observed Frieza's genocide of the Saiyans and identified Bardock during his final moments, though Salza noted Bardock was no longer a threat. When Cooler ordered Salza to intercept Kakarot's escape pod, Dore complied and knelt before Cooler upon his arrival.

Assigned to find Goku for Cooler's vengeance, Dore mistakenly grabs Gohan's tail, thinking he's Goku. When Goku arrives, Dore and his team attack him. Dore traps Goku in a Bear Hug, intending to have Neiz kick him, but ends up getting kicked himself due to Goku's dodge, leading to a brief argument with Neiz. After Cooler severely wounds Goku and attempts to destroy him in a waterfall, Dore congratulates Cooler, only for Cooler to reveal Goku is still alive and able to swim to shore.

Later, Dore joins the search for Goku, blasting the area in an attempt to find him. He attacks Gohan, leading to a confrontation with Piccolo. Dore is ultimately killed by Piccolo's Chasing Bullet as he tries to pursue Gohan.

Super Dragon Ball Heroes[edit | edit source]

Supreme Kai of Time Saga[edit | edit source]

An incarnation of Dore, along with Salza, Neiz, and other combatants, joined forces with an incarnation of Raditz as Team 10 in the Super Space-Time Tournament. In the manga, Dore is shown watching Bido and Dodoria battle in a forest. His team failed to advance to the second round of the tournament, leading to Dore and his space-time being erased.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Like many characters in the Dragon Ball series, Dore and his fellow henchmen have names derived from puns related to condiments and salad dressings. Dore's name comes from "Saradore" dressing.
  • Dore seems to be modeled after Recoome in terms of characteristics and attitude, as both have large muscle mass, are very cocky, and are confident in their abilities.
  • He appears to be unaware (or at least forgetful) that Planet Namek was destroyed, as he questions why Piccolo is not on his homeworld, only to be reminded by Neiz that Frieza destroyed it.
  • Dore's appearance is similar to that of the Marvel Comics character, The Hulk.
  • In Raging Blast 2, when fighting against Meta-Cooler, Dore is the only member of Cooler's Armored Squadron to notice that Meta-Cooler is "not the same Cooler."
