Putine (プティン Putin) is one of the most powerful wizards from the foundation of the Dark Demon Realm and was originally a member of Demigra's Army before defecting to Mechikabura's faction.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Putine has light blue skin and aqua-colored hair. She typically wears a long white skirt, a yellow tunic, a small brown sleeveless jacket, and black boots. After becoming a Demon Goddess, her appearance changes: she gains marks under her eyes, and her outfit transforms into a brown dress with a yellow cape.
In her second Demon Goddess form, Putine's appearance evolves further. She dons red and gold thigh pads, and her brown dress now covers her cleavage. The long skirt becomes a loincloth with tight black shorts underneath, and she wears high-heeled boots that reach halfway up her thighs. Her eye marks now resemble flames, and her hairstyle changes to a long, wavy ponytail with an "S" shape, while she retains the long bang from her previous form.
During the Universe Creation Saga, her appearance remains similar but with slight differences, such as longer hair with protruding bangs. She also switches to brown heeled shoes instead of black boots, and wears a white miniskirt instead of a full skirt. In the manga, she is depicted with gold triangle earrings.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Putine is more playful and childish compared to her fellow Demon Gods. She enjoys giving her allies nicknames and often uses these rather than their real names, calling Towa "Sis," Gravy "Meat Shield," and Salsa "Genius." Due to her decision to side with Mechikabura over Demigra, Robelu humorously nicknamed her "Two-Faced Putine."
Ironically, Putine would later join the Time Patrol as an intern, briefly betraying the Dark Empire and Mechikabura, thus living up to her moniker. During her internship, she uncovers an anomaly and learns that her former comrade Gravy has a girlfriend, although this wasn't the cause of the anomaly. After resolving the issue, she humorously strikes Gravy with a mallet. Despite their past, Putine gets along with Chronoa, though she refuses to participate in the Time Patrol pose with her. Chronoa also warns Putine not to use the Scroll of Eternity to spy on others’ personal lives, suggesting that Putine has a tendency to be nosy.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Super Dragon Ball Heroes[edit | edit source]
Dark Demon Realm Saga[edit | edit source]
Putine was originally a wizard in the Heavenly Realm. However, she eventually aligned herself with the evil wizard Demigra. Alongside Demigra and Gravy, Putine fought against the Kai, including Chronoa, who was on the rise to become the Supreme Kai of Time.
Dark Empire Saga[edit | edit source]
In the manga, after Demon Goddess Towa returns to Mechikabura with the Dark Dragon Ball, Mechikabura reveals that he has summoned several Demon Gods to help locate the remaining Dark Dragon Balls, one of whom is Putine.
Putine, along with her comrade Gravy, travels to Age 767 during the events of the Cell Games to retrieve the Two-Star Dark Dragon Ball from Xeno Cell. While Gravy engages in most of the fighting, Putine remains on the sidelines for the majority of the battle. However, when Xeno Trunks and Xeno Vegeta fuse to form Xeno Vegeks, Putine uses her dark magic to transform Xeno Cell into the monstrous Cell-X.
Later, she appears in the Demon Realm, informing Mechikabura that Towa has recovered three of the Dark Dragon Balls. Mechikabura instructs Putine to tell Towa to meet him upon her return and to prepare a mask for the imprisoned Broly.
Putine, along with the other Demon Gods, helps fend off the Time Patrol to buy time for Dark Shenron to restore Mechikabura’s youth and power. The battle ends abruptly when the Time Patrol members are teleported back to the Time Nest.
Dark King Mechikabura Saga[edit | edit source]
After Mechikabura escapes from the Time Labyrinth, Putine and the other demons are granted more powerful Demon Goddess forms. She, along with Gravy and a mind-controlled Chronoa, head to Age 790.
Putine is tasked with defending the Green Hell Gate and confronts Robelu, a former ally from Demigra's army. A Demon Realm Soldier accuses Robelu of being a traitor, but Robelu retorts that Putine is the true traitor for switching loyalties from Demigra to the Dark King. Putine commands her soldiers to attack, but they are defeated by Robelu, who sends them back towards Putine with her Time Rail technique, causing them to explode upon impact, leading to Putine's defeat.
Later, Mechikabura summons Putine and the other Demon Gods, still injured from their battles. Mechikabura traps them in the Chaos Ball, absorbing them to achieve his Time Power Unleashed form. When the Chaos Ball is shattered, Putine and Salsa manage to escape the Demon Realm, though they lose their Demon God status as a result of Mechikabura's sealing.
Universe Creation Saga[edit | edit source]
Putine and Salsa unexpectedly appear in Hell via a time distortion. Using her Ice Magic, Putine immobilizes Janemba, allowing Salsa to strike with his Tricky Storm technique. During the lull in battle, Putine surprises both the Dragon Team and the Time Patrol by revealing her knowledge of how to destroy the Universe Tree and projecting the tree’s worsening effects on Earth. When Janemba returns, she and Salsa buy the Saiyans enough time for Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta to gather the power needed to defeat him. Putine then teleports everyone, including herself, to the Universe Tree.
New Space-Time War Saga[edit | edit source]
Putine, alongside Shroom and Salsa, appears in the Pseudo Universe, opening a doorway resembling the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to allow Goku and Vegeta to master their powers.
Supreme Kai of Time Saga[edit | edit source]
In the anime, when Dark King Demigra releases evil beings from the Scrolls of Eternity, Putine, along with Salsa, Shroom, Gravy, and Xeno Dabura, confront Gohan, Piccolo, and the Namekian in Black.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Putine's name is presumably derived from "poutine," a popular Canadian fast-food dish consisting of fries, cheese curds, and gravy.
- In the bonus chapter of volume 2 of Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Big Bang Mission!!!, Putine takes on an internship with the Time Patrol.
- This indicates that Chronoa and the Time Patrol are open to giving former adversaries an opportunity to join and contribute to the protection of history, rather than altering it.
- This aligns with Chronoa's recruitment of Xeno Trunks, who was also given a second chance as a form of penance for his "crime" of using Future Bulma's Time Machine to alter history.
