Appearance[edit | edit source]
Cabba has fair skin, stands at a short height, and has a slim build. His black, spiky hair features a single bang hanging over his forehead, reminiscent of Gohan's during the Majin Buu Saga and Tarble's in the anime. He has narrow eyes with large black pupils. Cabba's outfit includes yellow straps, silver plating, a purple underpiece, and a blue bodysuit underneath. He also wears brown armbands, a brown belt, and purple shoes with grey soles, resembling the original uniforms worn by Saiyans before their conscription by Frieza. He appears to be a young, teenage Saiyan, likely between 17 and 19 years old, although he could be much older, as Saiyans age more slowly physically.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Cabba is a good-natured, polite, and humble Saiyan. However, when in battle, his demeanor shifts to a serious, no-nonsense attitude. In contrast to the violent and arrogant nature of most Saiyans from Universe 7, Cabba treats everyone with respect and takes pride in being a protector of the weak. He feels deep shame over Frost, whom he once considered a close ally sharing a sense of justice, but who turned out to be a manipulative, cold-hearted space pirate who exploited wars to gain public support.
Despite his kind nature, Cabba showed intense anger when Vegeta provoked him during training by threatening to destroy Sadala, including Cabba's family. This rage triggered his transformation into a Super Saiyan. Once he realized it was a test, Cabba calmed down and developed great respect for Vegeta, referring to him as "Master." His polite nature makes it difficult for him to insult or provoke others convincingly. This is evident when he tries to provoke Caulifla but does so in a quiet, non-threatening manner.
After witnessing Universe 9's erasure, Cabba gains clarity on the stakes of the Tournament of Power and confronts Vegeta, stating his determination to eliminate him to protect Universe 6. Despite his respect for Vegeta, Cabba prioritizes the survival of his universe. After Vegeta saves him from Monna and reminds him to embrace his Saiyan pride and promise to restore the erased universes, Cabba finds renewed resolve and unlocks the Super Saiyan 2 form.
Before Universe 6's erasure, Cabba solemnly wishes Vegeta luck in the tournament. When Universe 6 is restored by the Super Dragon Balls, Cabba expresses his gratitude to Vegeta, unaware that it was Android 17 who made the final wish.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Background[edit | edit source]
Cabba is a Saiyan from Universe 6, born on Planet Sadala. He was trained by Renso, his former captain in the Sadala Army. In the past, Cabba fought alongside Frost to defeat space pirates on the planet Mayonnai, unaware that Frost was secretly their leader.
Dragon Ball Super[edit | edit source]
Universe 6 Saga[edit | edit source]
In Dragon Ball Super's Universe 6 Saga, Cabba is selected by Vados to represent Universe 6 in the tournament against Universe 7. On the day of the tournament, he arrives at the Nameless Planet with his teammates Hit, Frost, Botamo, and Auta Magetta. Before the written exam, Cabba notices Vegeta and Goku and correctly identifies them as Saiyans, surprising the two warriors. He reveals that Saiyans also exist in Universe 6 and that he himself is a Saiyan. Vegeta comments on Cabba's attire, noting it resembles the style Saiyans wore before being conscripted into Frieza's army.
When asked about the Saiyan homeworld in Universe 6, Cabba explains that they live on Planet Sadala, the original Saiyan planet. Curious, Cabba inquires if Planet Sadala exists in Universe 7, to which Vegeta responds that it was destroyed due to internal conflict among Saiyans. Goku then questions Cabba about his tail, but Cabba explains that Saiyans in Universe 6 lost their tails through evolution (in the anime, Cabba is unaware that Saiyans even had tails). Vegeta asks if the Saiyans of Universe 6 are still a warrior race, and Cabba responds that they are, though they fight to protect rather than conquer.
As Vados urges them to take their seats, Vegeta asks Cabba to take him to Planet Sadala one day, to which Cabba agrees. He promises Vegeta that he won’t hold back during their match.
Cabba takes the written exam, consisting of ten basic questions, and successfully passes it. However, Universe 7 is one fighter short as Majin Buu fails to pass the exam. Cabba watches the first match between Goku and Universe 6’s Botamo, who is defeated when Goku throws him out of the ring since Botamo is impervious to damage.
Next, Cabba witnesses the battle between Goku and Frost. He is astonished when Frost transforms into his "final form" and is even more surprised when Goku turns into a Super Saiyan. When Champa asks Cabba if Saiyans from Universe 6 can transform, Cabba admits that he has never seen or heard of such a transformation. Frost manages to defeat Goku using a secret technique. As the next match between Piccolo and Frost begins, Cabba watches, believing Frost is an honorable fighter. However, Jaco suspects something suspicious and asks for Frost to be checked, but Cabba objects, trusting Frost’s character based on his own previous experiences fighting him.
To Cabba’s shock, Frost reveals that he starts wars to profit from buying war-torn planets at low prices. Cabba is stunned by this betrayal as he watches Vegeta's fight against Frost.
When it's Cabba’s turn to face Vegeta, the older Saiyan notices that Cabba adopts a similar fighting stance to his own. The two engage in an even match, and Vegeta is impressed when Cabba uses the Galick Gun, one of Vegeta’s signature moves. Vegeta then demands Cabba transform into a Super Saiyan, but Cabba admits he doesn't know how and asks Vegeta to teach him.
This angers Vegeta, who transforms into a Super Saiyan and begins to mercilessly beat Cabba, mocking him throughout. When Cabba attempts to surrender, Vegeta becomes even more furious and threatens to kill him and destroy Planet Sadala after the tournament. Though Vegeta doesn’t mean it, his threat pushes Cabba to the edge. In response, Cabba becomes enraged, declaring that he will never forgive Vegeta if Planet Sadala is destroyed, and through this emotional outburst, he finally transforms into a Super Saiyan.
Cabba, filled with rage, charges at Vegeta and attacks relentlessly. However, when Cabba attempts to land a punch, it has no effect on Vegeta, causing Cabba to lose his Super Saiyan form. Vegeta then explains to him that the Super Saiyan transformation is fueled by anger, urging Cabba to remember this emotion. Vegeta immediately commands Cabba to transform again, and Cabba succeeds, realizing that Vegeta's harsh words were meant to help him unlock the Super Saiyan form.
Vegeta, now satisfied, transforms into Super Saiyan Blue, showing Cabba a more advanced form and telling him that with enough training, he can achieve it too. Cabba is in awe of Vegeta's power and asks if he can really reach such heights. While Cabba is distracted, Vegeta swiftly knocks him out with a punch to the abdomen. Before walking away, Vegeta tells Cabba to remember the feeling of God Ki, so he can eventually transform into Super Saiyan Blue. The referee declares Vegeta the winner for the third time in a row.
Cabba is revived by Vegeta with a splash of water. Bowing to show respect, Cabba praises Vegeta, but Vegeta dismisses the gesture, saying that bowing to an opponent is like surrendering. He lectures Cabba on Saiyan pride, explaining that it is the true strength of their race. Cabba, inspired, promises to become as strong as Vegeta, but Vegeta pushes him further, saying he expects him to surpass him, though he won’t make it easy. Moved by Vegeta's words, Cabba tears up and thanks him. Before parting ways, Cabba tells Vegeta about the strong and prideful king of Planet Sadala, piquing Vegeta's interest, and Vegeta expresses hope to meet him one day.
During the battle between Goku and Hit, as Champa orders Hit to finish off Goku when his Kaio-ken begins to fade, Cabba objects, saying it would damage Hit's pride. Champa angrily tells Cabba to stay quiet, dismissing all the fighters as mere pawns in his game. This comment causes both Hit and Goku to glare at Champa, momentarily stunning the God of Destruction.
When the final battle between Monaka and Hit ends, Champa is furious, accusing Hit of disgracing him by ignoring his orders and losing to Monaka. Champa then threatens to kill Hit and the rest of Team Universe 6. Cabba tries to reason with Champa, but Champa shuts him down, claiming they all embarrassed him. The fighters, except for the unconscious Frost, are fearful of Champa's wrath. However, Vados informs Champa of Zeno's arrival, which prompts the God of Destruction to abandon his threat, knowing he needs his fighters for future battles. As Universe 6 prepares to leave, Cabba calls Vegeta "Master," much to Vegeta’s irritation.
"Future" Trunks Saga[edit | edit source]
Cabba testified during Frost's trial, providing his account of Frost's crimes. Later, Cabba reunited with Team Universe 6 for a friendly game of baseball against Team Universe 7. The teams were evenly matched after Vegeta and Goten joined Universe 6 to balance the number of players. Despite their efforts, Universe 6 lost the game when Yamcha scored the only run by sprinting around all the bases and making it to home plate. Following the defeat, Cabba, along with Magetta and Botamo, was subjected to intense training by Champa in preparation for a rematch.
Universe Survival Saga[edit | edit source]
Champa tasked Cabba with finding Saiyans stronger than himself to participate in the Tournament of Power. In the anime, Cabba travels by spaceship to meet his former mentor, Renso. During their reunion, Renso mentions that Cabba is the ace of the Saiyan elite unit. Cabba demonstrates his Super Saiyan transformation and informs Renso about the Tournament of Power, but Renso, due to a leg injury, declines to join. He instead recommends that Cabba recruit Caulifla.
Cabba then approaches Caulifla, but she shows no interest in participating, even after learning that their universe's existence is at risk. After Cabba fends off one of her Saiyan followers by transforming, Caulifla becomes intrigued by the power and agrees to join, motivated by the prospect of becoming stronger. Cabba also attempts to help Kale transform into a Super Saiyan, but they struggle until Kale, feeling like a burden, unleashes her uncontrollable Legendary Super Saiyan form. Cabba and Caulifla try to subdue her, and it’s Caulifla’s Super Saiyan 2 form that ultimately calms Kale.
In the manga, Cabba explores an unfamiliar part of Planet Sadala under Champa's orders to recruit more Saiyans. There, he witnesses Caulifla assaulting Saiyan soldiers from King Sadala’s army. He asks her to join the tournament, and she agrees on the condition that someone defeats her in battle. Cabba transforms into a Super Saiyan, impressing Caulifla. After training together and helping her achieve the Super Saiyan form, they travel to Champa's planet to discuss the Tournament of Power.
Once Caulifla and Kale agree to join, the trio goes to Champa’s palace, where Champa gives them Potara earrings as a backup plan for the tournament. Initially, neither Caulifla nor Kale wanted to wear the earrings and offered them to Cabba, but he too refused.
When Universe 6 arrives at the World of Void for the Tournament of Power, Cabba immediately greets Vegeta. He then introduces Caulifla and Kale to Goku and Vegeta. Caulifla, however, dismisses any friendly interaction with fighters from an opposing universe and mocks the Universe 7 Saiyans, calling them wimps for cowering before Team Universe 11.
As the tournament begins, Cabba and Dyspo are both struck by Narirama's extendable arm spin attack. Cabba is later seen standing with Caulifla as they watch the chaos unfold in the arena. He is shocked when Universe 9 is eliminated and erased along with all its members. Despite the intense competition, Cabba manages to defeat both Nigrissi and Murisam simultaneously.
Afterward, Cabba confronts Vegeta, turning into a Super Saiyan and declaring that he will eliminate him from the tournament. As they begin their battle, they are interrupted by Kale’s transformation into her Legendary Super Saiyan form, forcing them to dodge her destructive ki attacks.
Later, Cabba resists the heart-shaped explosions unleashed by Brianne de Chateau during the Kamikaze Fireballs' transformation, though he finds the smell of love that they produce suspicious rather than overwhelming.
Cabba is briefly seen being sent flying by Toppo’s Justice Punch and later observes the fierce battle between Jiren and Goku, particularly as Universe 7's Spirit Bomb comes into play. He also watches Hit’s fight against Jiren alongside Kale and Caulifla. Though they initially plan to join the fight, Cabba advises them to let Hit execute his strategy. Despite their hopes, Hit is ultimately defeated and knocked out by Jiren, leaving Cabba and his teammates in shock.
Later in the Tournament of Power, Cabba intervenes in a battle between Monna, Caulifla, and Kale. He urges Caulifla and Kale to retreat and recover their energy, gaining their trust as they hide to regain stamina. Cabba then faces Monna on his own but quickly finds himself overwhelmed. Just as he is about to be knocked off the ledge, Vegeta catches him and delivers a motivating pep talk, reminding him of their promise to meet King Sadala. When Cabba laments that the promise can't be fulfilled if their universe is destroyed, Vegeta reassures him by promising to use the Super Dragon Balls to resurrect Universe 6 if he wins. Inspired, Cabba vows to do the same.
With newfound determination, Cabba fights back against Monna and, during the battle, transforms into a Super Saiyan 2 for the first time after hearing Monna’s insults about him and Vegeta. Though exhausted, Cabba engages in a brief fight against Frieza, holding his own as a Super Saiyan 2. However, he is ultimately defeated when Frieza transforms into his Golden form, leading to Cabba's elimination.
After his elimination, Cabba cheers for Kale and Caulifla as they battle Goku. As Universe 6 nears erasure following the elimination of Saonel and Pilina, Cabba wishes Vegeta good luck before being erased along with his teammates and universe by the Zenos.
Later, Cabba and all the erased universes are revived, thanks to the wish made by Android 17. Overjoyed, Cabba expresses his gratitude and excitement to see Vegeta again. He is soon greeted by Kale and Caulifla, with Caulifla excitedly demanding that Cabba train with them to reach Super Saiyan 3.

Universal Conflict Saga[edit | edit source]
In the anime, Cabba teams up with Kale, Caulifla, and the assassin Hit on Planet Sadala to battle against Oren and Kamin from the Core Area Warriors. During the fight, Cabba sustains injuries off-screen and is unable to continue, watching as his teammates continue the struggle. He is delighted when Vegeta arrives to assist them and asks about the boy accompanying him, to which Vegeta responds that the boy is his son.
As the battle intensifies, Kamin takes control of Kale's body, and Cabba is once again incapacitated by Kamin's Crash Break technique. When Vegeta, Trunks, and Hit manage to free the lifeforms from their hosts, Cabba goes to check on his comrades, but they are all suddenly pinned to the ground by a gravitational force generated by Hearts.
In the manga, Cabba transforms into a Super Saiyan but is quickly overpowered by the Tuffleized Caulifla and Kale. He is saved when Vegeta intervenes during the fight.
Once the battle with the Core Area Warriors concludes, Cabba assists Hit in his recovery.
Supreme Kai of Time Saga[edit | edit source]
In the anime, Cabba, Kale, and Cauilifa appear to help Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta against Broly.
