Xeno Broly is an alternative version of Broly in Dragon Ball Heroes who appears as a recurring villain in the game's narrative. Following his death in the original Toei history, Xeno Broly makes regular attempts at escaping Hell and resuming his hunt for Kakarot, growing stronger with each defeat he faces.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Dark Demon Realm Saga[edit | edit source]

In this saga, after three Hell Gates are opened by Dark Towa, Broly seizes the chance to attempt a second escape from Hell. In his new Super Saiyan 4 Full Power form, he blasts away the Time Breaker leaders but is ultimately defeated by Xeno Trunks.

Dark Empire Saga[edit | edit source]

In the manga, after merging with the Seven-Star Dark Dragon Ball, Super Saiyan 4 Broly is captured and imprisoned by the Dark Empire. Mechikabura wants to test if a Dark Dragon Ball host can be controlled using a mask, so he instructs Demon God Towa and Xeno Paragus to place one on Broly, turning him into Dark Broly. However, the attempt fails, and Broly goes on a rampage in the Southeast Prison Complex. Towa and Xeno Paragus are unable to control him, and Mechikabura concludes that it is impossible to manage such immense power.

Xeno Goku arrives through Gravy's portal, further infuriating Broly, who shatters part of his mask and attacks both Goku and Towa. A new Mira appears, absorbs Towa to boost his power, and joins the fight against Broly and Xeno Goku. A three-way battle ensues, culminating in a massive explosion. Broly and Xeno Goku are left unconscious, and Mira (having defused with Towa) claims the Dark Dragon Ball that detaches from Broly's chest.

In the game, while Broly sleeps in Hell, he merges with the Seven-Star Dark Dragon Ball, transforming into Dark Broly. Abducted by Demon Realm Soldiers led by Xeno Paragus, he is brought to Towa to be fitted with a Time Breaker mask but resists brainwashing and goes on a rampage. He fights the Time Patrol and eventually encounters Xeno Goku outside Mechikabura's Tower, where he is defeated, and the Dark Dragon Ball is taken from his body by Mira.

Dark King Mechikabura Saga[edit | edit source]

During this saga, Dark Broly, now without his mask, charges at Majin Fin while Chamel confronts Towa and Fin in the Dark Demon Realm. In the game, following his defeat, Dark Broly continues rampaging through the Demon Realm until he is killed after breaking into Mechikabura's Tower. His corpse is discovered by the Time Patrol, Demigra, and Robelu, and Demigra resurrects him with demonic energy, causing Broly to go on another rampage.

He interrupts a battle between Mechikabura's last loyal Demon Gods, Salsa and Shroom, and the two Saiyans, Xeno Bardock and Xeno King Vegeta. During the battle, both Demon Gods perish, and Dark Broly fatally wounds Xeno King Vegeta. Though he initially overwhelms Xeno Bardock, he is ultimately defeated after Xeno Bardock uses a discarded Key Sword against him. Broly's corruption is undone by his defeat, and he falls into a coma as he disappears into the Crack of Time.

Universe Creation Saga[edit | edit source]

Recovering from previous battles, Broly achieves an immense power-up, allowing him to reach the Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker state. In the anime, within the Crack of Time, Broly senses Goku and Vegeta's ki, smirking as he gets to his feet. He interrupts the battle between Vegito (in Barrier Blue form), Xeno Vegito (in Limit Breaker form), and Dark King Fu. Broly powers up into Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker and proves capable of matching both Vegitos combined until Fu revives the Universe Tree. Vegito holds Broly off to allow Xeno Vegito to pursue Fu.

New Space-Time War Saga[edit | edit source]

After being engulfed by the light of the Universe Tree, Broly is transported to the Pseudo Universe. There, he interrupts the fight between Goku, Hearts, Golden Frieza, and Golden Metal Cooler, delivering powerful blows to each. The Warrior in Black takes the Dark Dragon Balls from the tyrants and signals Broly to follow. Eventually, Broly confronts Xeno Goku, Xeno Vegeta, Goku, and Vegeta as they prepare to fight Dark Fu, but is stopped by Cumber, who fights him at Hearts' command. Broly battles Cumber and then joins a combined front against him and Hearts, vanishing mid-fight after Dark Fu's defeat.

Supreme Kai of Time Saga[edit | edit source]

Broly appears as a competitor in the Super Space-Time Tournament, part of a group of "Super Evil Warriors" including Kid Buu, Janemba, and Hirudegarn. In the anime, he targets Jiren in the first round but fails to land a blow and is easily evaded. In the manga, he also targets Jiren but is quickly defeated by a combined attack from Jiren and Hit.

Later, in his Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker state, Broly is summoned by Robelu to assist Dark King Demigra against Aeos and Goku. He immediately attacks Xeno Gogeta, managing only a single blow before taking a Rising Vortex and failing to hit with a Trap Shooter due to Xeno Gogeta's Stardust Rising. After Xeno Gogeta defuses, Broly continues fighting Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta, who are later joined by Cabba, Caulifla, and Kale.

In the manga, Broly charges at Xeno Gogeta, who dodges and counters with an uppercut and energy blast. Broly resists the Stardust Fall attack and powers up to break free, clashing his Gigantic Calamity evenly with Xeno Gogeta's Atomic Kamehameha, causing a crack in space-time. They exchange physical blows, and Broly receives a Rising Vortex before throwing Xeno Gogeta away. However, Xeno Gogeta rebounds with a knee strike, sending Broly into a rock wall. Recovering, Broly faces a fully-powered Xeno Gogeta, who temporarily overcomes his fusion timer and unleashes a Big Bang Kamehameha, slamming Broly to the ground. Broly rises from the attack, and Xeno Gogeta, smirking, warns him that he plans to enjoy the next ten minutes.

Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission[edit | edit source]

In this story, Broly appears as an antagonist under the command of Genome, taking advantage of the time-manipulating properties of Capsule Corp's arcade machines. As a Super Saiyan 4, Broly begins hunting down the Shadow Dragons to obtain their Dragon Balls. He first finds Eis Shenron and defeats him with a Ruthless Blow-like attack, taking him away. Broly then encounters Basaku, Kagyu, and Nuova Shenron, defeating Basaku and Kagyu while destroying Nuova Shenron to claim his Four-Star Dragon Ball.

Broly soon confronts the Dragon Ball Heroes, revealing that he has collected the Three-Star and Four-Star Dragon Balls and swallows them to prevent their retrieval. He fights Super Class Froze and Super Class Beat, but Froze’s Spirit Excalibur attack does not harm him, and Broly counters with his Bone Crusher attack. Beat transforms into a Super Saiyan 3 and launches a flurry of punches, but they have no effect, and Broly retaliates with a Double Eraser Cannon, defeating the entire team. He then takes the Two-Star Dragon Ball from Froze and leaves.

At the Shadow Dragon headquarters, Broly is shown to be working for Genome. He fights Rage Shenron, who powers up using his Electric Slime Body Build, but Broly defeats him with an attack similar to Penetrate! and destroys him on Genome's orders. Meanwhile, Beat trains to face Broly, and Genome reveals his plan to kill the Dragon Ball Heroes to gain the One-Star Dragon Ball. However, Kagyu discloses that Broly's Four-Star Dragon Ball was a fake, and Nuova Shenron was secretly aligned with them.

Inside the White Room, Beat undergoes training to face Super Saiyan 4 Broly. During the training, he battles against Great Ape Broly but is initially defeated. Realizing the importance of better coordination with his team, Beat and his group launch a combined attack, ultimately succeeding in defeating Broly.

World Mission[edit | edit source]

In Chapter 3-4 of Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission, following the defeat of Xeno Janemba in Hero Town by Beat, Super Saiyan 3 Xeno Goku, and the Dragon Ball Heroes with the assistance of Super Saiyan Xeno Vegeks, Legendary Super Saiyan Broly arrives, screaming for Kakarot. However, rather than targeting Xeno Goku, Broly instead attacks Beat. Xeno Goku attempts to divert Broly's attention by telling him to stop referring to himself by his birth name, but Broly, after firing a single Ki Blast toward Goku, continues to focus on Beat. Beat dodges Broly's attacks and wonders why Broly is fixated on him instead of Goku.

As Xeno Vegeks attempts to intervene, he defuses, leaving Beat to continue evading Broly's attacks. An angry Note retaliates with a Ki Blast, yelling that Beat is not Kakarot, but her attack only irritates Broly, who responds with a Ki Blast of his own that knocks Note out cold. Seeing Note hurt enrages Beat, who begins to transform into a Super Saiyan without the use of his Hero Avatar.

In response to Beat's transformation, Broly powers up to his Super Saiyan 3 form and attacks him. Super Saiyan Beat manages to overpower Broly, who declares that no one can surpass him and transforms further into Super Saiyan 4. Overwhelmed by Broly's power in his new form, Beat struggles to keep up, prompting Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta to join the battle as Super Saiyan 4s. Together with the Dragon Ball Heroes team, they manage to overpower Broly. As Broly screams that it is impossible, he is finally defeated by a powerful Ki Blast from Beat.
