  • English: Stephanie Young

Appearance

Towa has a striking appearance, with long white hair, light blue skin, and piercing purple eyes. Her hair is asymmetrical, with the right side hanging longer over her chest, and she wears a golden infinity-shaped hair accessory. She also dons golden earrings resembling the Potara, a red and black skintight bodysuit exposing parts of her stomach and lower chest, a jagged-edged white cape, and high-heeled boots. She wields a long staff with golden spear-like ends. In the Universe Creation Saga, she wears a white lab coat over a high-neck mini dress, modifying her usual look.

In Xenoverse 2, she has additional costume options, including a red and black microkini with wedge sandals, unlocked as an alternate outfit.

Personality

Towa is arrogant, considering herself superior to all others, often underestimating her opponents. She is cold and calculating, with no concern for the chaos her magic causes across time. Her persistence is unmatched, as she continues manipulating history despite repeated failures. However, she draws the line at outright destroying the universe, even working with the second Future Warrior to prevent Mira from doing so—though this may have been out of self-preservation.

She views Mira as her greatest creation and partner, believing his power will ensure their success. However, she disapproves of his impulsiveness and eventually turns against him when he exceeds her control. When Mira betrays her, she curses him as a failure before being absorbed.

Towa is highly manipulative, using brainwashing techniques but refraining when it is unnecessary. Like Dabura with Babidi, she prefers to exploit naturally evil individuals, such as Turles, Lord Slug, and Cooler, by letting them act on their grudges against Goku.

Her deception skills are formidable—she successfully impersonates Chronoa to mislead Beerus and Whis, delaying their interference. However, she fears Beerus' power, avoiding direct confrontation with him when possible.

Towa’s ultimate goal is to merge the Demon Realm with the rest of the universe, creating what she describes as a "garden of evil" filled with rage and suffering. She delights in others' pain, as shown when she taunts Xeno Trunks about Future Gohan’s death, knowing it will torment him. Despite her intelligence, she sometimes overestimates herself, as seen when the Future Warriors, Xeno Bardock, and even Mira exceed her expectations.

Unlike many villains, Towa has a genuine attachment to her brother, Dabura. Her fixation on altering history may stem from her desire to undo his death at the hands of Majin Buu. Instead of directly changing that moment in time, she subtly manipulates events to resurrect him without alerting the Time Patrol. Her strong familial bond contrasts with her otherwise ruthless nature.

Towa's relationship with Mira varies between adaptations. In Xenoverse, she dismisses him as a failure after his betrayal. However, in Super Dragon Ball Heroes, they maintain a strong connection, even having a son, Fu. She ensures Fu’s survival during the Demon Realm's collapse, later reuniting with him to assist in growing the Universe Tree.

Despite her villainous nature, some Time Patrollers begrudgingly acknowledge that Towa’s deep understanding of time and history could have made her a valuable ally had she not pursued criminal ambitions. In Super Dragon Ball Heroes, this knowledge leads to a temporary alliance between her faction and the Time Patrol against Mechikabura.

In Dragon Ball Fusions, she holds a grudge against Xeno Trunks for repeatedly foiling her plans, extending this hatred to his younger main timeline counterpart. Ironically, Kid Trunks finds Towa attractive and remains unaware of her true nature, allowing her to briefly manipulate him and Tekka’s Team. She is also shown to be extremely embarrassed about the bikini she receives from Goku in Hell, reacting with an uncharacteristic temper.

Biography

Background

Towa was once a brilliant scientist from the distant future of the Demon Realm. Using her intellect and advanced technology, she created Mira, a powerful artificial being engineered from the DNA of various strong fighters, including Goku, with assistance from Dr. Gero. After forming an alliance with Mira, Towa betrayed the Demon Realm and pursued her own goals. Despite this, she remained determined to amass enough energy to break the seal on the Demon Realm. Additionally, she sought to eradicate the Saiyan bloodline, seeing it as a major threat. Together, she and Mira had a son, Fu, who was prophesied to have a significant impact on the world as he matured.

Super Dragon Ball Heroes

Dark Demon Realm Saga

Towa led her Dark Demon Realm army in battle against Xeno Trunks. When the Masked Saiyan was freed from her control, she personally joined the fight alongside Mira and her minions. However, with the intervention of Chronoa, Trunks, and the now-liberated Bardock, Towa and Super Mira found themselves overwhelmed. Xeno Dabura emerged from a dark portal to assist her, but despite his intervention, the Time Patrol managed to deal Towa a fatal blow. As she fell into Dabura’s arms, he and Mira escaped with her body through another dark portal.

Fueled by her hatred, Towa resurrected herself as "Dark Towa." She traveled to the era of Dragon Ball GT, opening three Hell Gates and unleashing villains from Hell. She first appeared during the battle between Xeno Trunks, Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and Android 18 against Super 17. During the fight, Super 17 absorbed Android 18, forcing the heroes to chase him and Towa into the Hell Gates. Later, at the Ice Hell Gate, she faced the heroes in her base form but was defeated. At the Chaos Hell Gate, Dark Towa, Super Mira, and Dabura engaged them in battle but were ultimately bested. They were then caught off guard when Super Saiyan 4 Full Power Broly—freed from Hell due to their actions—attacked them with a massive energy blast.

Towa later forged an alliance with Demon God Demigra and his subordinates, Gravy and Putine. She brainwashed Xeno Vegeta into becoming the Black-Masked Saiyan, using him as a weapon against the Time Patrol. Alongside Mira and Xeno Dabura, she fought against the Time Patrol, only to be joined by Demigra after Vegeta was freed. Though Demigra was eventually defeated, Towa managed to escape with enough Damage Energy to release Mechikabura from the Crack of Time. When Mechikabura finally emerged in the Demon Realm, she and her followers pledged their loyalty to him.

In the manga, when the Supreme Kai of Time and Future Trunks invaded her hideout, Towa sent the Masked Saiyan and Mira to fight them. However, after losing control of Bardock and witnessing Xeno Trunks overpower Super Mira, she retreated with her creation.

Dark Empire Saga

While in the Demon Realm, Towa successfully resurrected the Dark Empire’s true ruler, Mechikabura, using energy harvested from powerful warriors. However, he returned in an aged and weakened state. She informed him that the Dark Dragon Balls could restore his youth, but they scattered across time and space upon their summoning, frustrating her. Before she embarked on her search, Mechikabura granted her the powers of a Demon God.

Towa and Mira traveled to Planet Namek, where the first Dark Dragon Ball had merged with Xeno Frieza. She secured the ball but was ambushed by Xeno Trunks, who attempted to strike her down with a Kamehameha. However, Mira intervened, sacrificing himself to protect her. Enraged, Towa retreated with the Dark Dragon Ball and presented it to Mechikabura, who revealed that he had summoned additional Demon Gods.

Later, Towa ventured into Hell alongside Shroom to retrieve the five-star Dark Dragon Ball and rescue her brother Dabura from Xeno Majin Buu. She killed the Goku of that era, dismissing any interest in his past self. Meanwhile, Shroom defeated Xeno Janemba, even after he transformed into his Evil Demon form. However, Xeno Goku, Xeno Vegeta, and Chamel soon arrived, escalating the battle. While clashing with Chamel, Dark Demon God Buu appeared, absorbing Xeno Janemba and stealing the Dark Dragon Ball, prompting Towa to pursue Xeno Majin Buu.

Towa later traveled to Age 762, where she used dark magic from Putine to transform Xeno Lord Slug into his Dark Evolution form, a Super Giant-Form transformation. In response, Xeno Trunks and Xeno Gohan fused into Xeno Gohanks to fight him. When Dark Demon God Buu joined the fray, he nearly struck Towa down, but Salsa intervened, cutting down both Xeno Lord Slug and Xeno Majin Buu. This allowed Towa to recover two Dark Dragon Balls and rescue Dabura, who had been absorbed by Xeno Majin Buu.

Later, Towa and Xeno Paragus attempted to control Dark Broly using their powers. However, Dark Broly proved too strong, breaking free from Towa’s control and attacking her. Mira saved her but was ultimately forced to absorb Towa to attain a higher form.

She made her final stand alongside the other Demon Gods when Mechikabura summoned Dark Shenron to restore his youth. As the Time Patrol intervened, she fought to buy as much time as possible for her master’s ascension.

Dark King Mechikabura Saga

After Mechikabura escapes from the Time Labyrinth, Towa, along with the other Demon Gods, is granted a more powerful form. She then travels to Age 790 with Dabura and her latest experiment, Fin, whom she orders to attack that timeline’s Gogeta. However, with the arrival of Demigra and his allies, as well as Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta fusing into Xeno Gogeta, Dabura suggests retreating. Towa initially hesitates, intrigued by the fact that Fin has absorbed that timeline’s Gogeta.

Despite her expectations, Fin is ultimately forced to leave Gogeta’s body, prompting Towa to call for a retreat. However, before they can escape, Demigra and Chamel intervene, with Chamel disarming Towa by knocking her staff away. The confrontation is abruptly halted when Chronoa arrives, using her time-freezing ability, while Chamel teleports everyone away.

While maintaining the barrier to Mechikabura's palace, Chamel later confronts Towa and Fin after traveling through the White Hell Gate. Noticing that Fin still retains Gogeta’s appearance from their earlier battle, Chamel questions the anomaly. Towa explains that Fin only needs to sample a being’s DNA once, allowing him to access its traits at any time. The situation escalates further when Dark Broly appears and goes on a rampage, forcing Towa to flee.

Towa re-emerges at the Time Nest with Fin, now in his Ultimate Evolution form, as Super Saiyan God Xeno Trunks battles Mechikabura. While Fin engages Trunks, Towa watches in concern as Mechikabura unveils his Time Power Unleashed form. After Fin is defeated, Xeno Trunks charges toward Mechikabura, but the Dark King teleports Towa in front of him, using her as a human shield. Xeno Trunks’ sword pierces through her, leaving her in shock. As she struggles to comprehend the betrayal, Mechikabura coldly tells her that alliances are meaningless and that only power matters. He then conjures a massive dark void that begins consuming everything around it, including Towa, Xeno Trunks, Chronoa, Old Kai, and part of the Time Nest.

Later, Demigra uses light magic to create chains that penetrate the dark void, latching onto Towa and the others before pulling them back into the ruined Time Nest. However, Towa remains unconscious throughout the entire ordeal.

Just before Mechikabura’s defeat and the collapse of his tower, Towa completes the creation of Fu. In the anime, she and Mira hold their newborn creation, instructing him to survive and obtain everything. She then sends Fu through a rift in time moments before the tower collapses, seemingly perishing alongside Mira. In the manga, she and Mira send Fu away shortly after the battle concludes.

Universal Creation Saga

Now wearing a new outfit, Towa appears alongside Fu at the base of the Universe Tree as Fu welcomes Bojack, Turles, Dr. W, Super 17, and Meta-Cooler. Later, when the Universe Tree nears completion and is almost ready to give birth to a new universe, Towa reappears. She teleports Xeno Goku, Xeno Vegeta, Xeno Trunks, and Xeno Pan away from the Crack of Time, cryptically telling Fu that everything she has done is for him—though he does not understand her meaning.

Elsewhere, Towa oversees the captured members of the Time Patrol, all restrained by dark energy originating from Cumber. She reveals that she created Fu using DNA collected from warriors across different dimensions and proclaims that he is destined to become the next Dark King, succeeding Mechikabura to rebuild both the Demon Realm and the Dark Empire. Retrieving a black orb from her coat pocket, she begins extracting black energy from the restrained Time Patrol members, explaining that this energy is the life force required to become a Dark King. The energy originally belonged to Mechikabura but, following his defeat, it dispersed into the nearest individuals present at the time.

Before she can complete the process, Goku forcibly breaks free from his restraints. At that moment, Mira arrives, carrying an unconscious Xeno Gohan and Xeno Goten, having already extracted the black energy from them. With their mission complete and no further need for the Time Patrol, Towa and Mira teleport away.

They reappear in the Crack of Time, where Towa hands Fu the extracted energy, triggering his transformation into the new Dark King. As his memories resurface, Fu questions whether he should refer to Towa as "Mother," but she dismisses the notion, stating that both she and Mira are merely his servants. Fu then orders them to leave as he begins restoring the Universe Tree.

Later, when Vegito intervenes to stop Fu's plans, Towa and Mira attempt to stall him long enough for Fu to complete his restoration. However, they are caught off guard by the sudden arrival of Xeno Vegito, who has received assistance from Demigra. As Fu revives the Universe Tree, Towa regains access to her Demon Goddess form and engages in battle with Robelu, who has also acquired the same power. While they fight, Demigra freezes both Fu and Xeno Vegito in place. Towa, visibly irritated, questions how long they will remain frozen, but Demigra simply tells her to decide for herself before leaving with Robelu for an unknown destination. Enraged, Demon Goddess Towa is left behind, fuming at their departure.

Other Stories

Dragon Ball Online

Towa makes her first appearance on Namek during the fourth Time Machine Quest (TMQ4), where she demonstrates her ability to control others by possessing Cui, Zarbon, Dodoria, Recoome, and even Captain Ginyu while he is in his frog form. She also exhibits the ability to enlarge individuals, though her first attempt on Cui backfires, causing him to shrink instead. After refining the technique, she successfully uses it on several Frieza Force commanders and soldiers. Additionally, she collects a blood sample from Nail and manipulates the frog possessing Ginyu’s body to turn against the heroes.

On Earth, Towa assigns Captain Bacterian the task of gathering energy to aid the growth of Cell-X. However, Cell-X grows impatient and abandons Bacterian’s dungeon, relocating to an abandoned cave behind a waterfall, where he continues gathering energy with the help of other Cell-like creatures.

Xenoverse

Towa seeks to collect Kili to break the seal on the Demon Realm. She and Mira first encounter the Future Warrior on Namek after the warrior assists in the defeat of Captain Ginyu and the Ginyu Force, securing the Namekian Dragon Balls. As the Z-Fighters celebrate their victory, the Future Warrior notices Towa lurking behind a rock. Realizing she has been spotted, Towa steps forward with Mira, complimenting the Warrior’s sharp instincts. Sarcastically, she questions whether they plan to interfere, warning them that it would be a mistake. Mira then declares his intent to eliminate the Warrior on the spot and powers up for battle.

As Mira engages in combat, Towa watches from the sidelines, expressing her amusement at how the Warrior’s actions have undone their attempts to alter history. Though annoyed by the setbacks, she finds the Warrior’s accidental Body Change with Ginyu particularly entertaining, mockingly calling it a splendid move.

After the battle, Mira, unimpressed with the Warrior’s power, prepares to drain their energy. However, Towa intervenes, choosing to interrogate the Warrior instead. She questions who they work for and how they are capable of time travel, suspecting they have external assistance. When the Warrior remains silent, Towa decides not to press further. She notes that, for now, they are of little consequence and that their energy is not yet worth extracting—implying she senses latent potential within them. Before departing with Mira to another era, she warns the Warrior that if they interfere again, they will be erased from existence.

Later, during the events of the Cell Games, Towa and Mira attempt to alter history on Earth but are confronted by Future Warrior and Xeno Trunks. While Mira fights them, Towa drains Gohan’s energy to ensure Cell’s victory before retreating.

A secondary goal of Towa’s agenda is seeking revenge on Majin Buu for killing her brother Dabura. To accomplish this, she sends Mira to eliminate both Goku and Majin Buu while harvesting their energy. After Demigra’s defeat, Towa recovers Mira’s remains and begins plotting her revenge, as hinted in a post-credit scene.

Kakarot

Saiyan Saga

To create a new body for Mira’s core, Towa uses her magic to infuse various common enemies with evil ki, granting them a crimson aura—even affecting robotic foes.

During Gohan’s attempt to abandon his training under Piccolo and return home, he encounters Puar for the first time. Puar is gathering ingredients for a special meal for Yamcha but is suddenly attacked by a Villainous Skull Robo empowered by Towa. Gohan intervenes to protect Puar, introducing the Villainous Enemies mechanic. After defeating them, Puar comments on Gohan’s strength, comparing him to his father. This realization helps Gohan recognize his own growth under Piccolo’s training, prompting him to continue.

Meanwhile, Villainous Enemies begin appearing in the Central Plains Area, significantly stronger than normal adversaries, as they are above Level 30—a challenge likely too difficult for players at this stage. However, they are marked on the map, allowing players to avoid them if necessary.

Post-Saiyan Saga Intermission

During the post-Saiyan Saga intermission, Gohan encounters Super Villainous Saibamen terrorizing a farm near Goku’s house. Determined to protect the innocent locals, Gohan engages and defeats them, introducing the Super Villainous Enemies, which are even stronger versions of Towa’s enhanced foes.

Villainous & Super Villainous Enemies

At this stage, defeating all Villainous Enemies in an area causes Super Villainous Enemies to appear. While players can challenge them now, it is advisable to wait until the next intermission after the Frieza Saga, as characters will be stronger and party members can be selected.

Clearing out Villainous Enemies in the Central Plains Area triggers the appearance of Super Villainous Raditz (Lv 39) and Super Villainous Nappa (Lv 38). King Kai warns the Dragon Team to be cautious, as their evil ki is unimaginably powerful.

Time Breakers Appear

"Oho ho ho... It seems my calculations were correct. You will all continue to fight so that I can see to the completion of my masterpiece."

— Towa, revealing herself as the mastermind behind the Villainous & Super Villainous enemies in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Defeating Super Villainous Raditz and Super Villainous Nappa prompts Towa to reveal herself, holding Mira’s core in her hand. As Mira absorbs the energy from the battle, Towa confirms that her calculations were correct, ensuring that the warriors will continue fighting to fuel Mira’s completion.

Mira, communicating telepathically, declares that in due time, he will demonstrate ultimate power. Towa then summons a new opponent—Super Villainous Prince Vegeta, as he appeared during the Saiyan Saga. He is joined by Super Villainous Raditz and Super Villainous Nappa, forcing the Dragon Team to battle all three at once.

Demon King Mira Reborn

Eventually, Towa successfully restores Mira’s body, and the duo travel to the era just after Majin Buu’s defeat. Their goal is to battle the Z Fighters, allowing Mira to absorb their energy and ascend to the ultimate warrior.

Despite Mira’s strength, he is ultimately defeated. However, Towa remarks that he remains incomplete and takes him to another timeline in search of more energy. Before departing, she taunts the Z Fighters, promising they will meet again—and leaves behind some of her creations for them to battle.

Dragon Ball Fusions

"I'll take all the energy you generate from your battle and give it to Mira! So fight! Fight for Mira, King of the Demon Realm!"

— Towa, commanding Great Ape Broly in Dragon Ball Fusions

Towa and Mira first appear in the Story Event: "Open Timespace" when Tekka’s Team seeks assistance against Legendary Super Saiyan Broly. Broly, who has been chasing them in an effort to kill Kid Goku, was accidentally summoned to the Timespace Rift due to a wish made by Emperor Pilaf using the Dragon Balls.

To find a strong ally against Broly, Tekka opens multiple time holes, eventually summoning Towa and Mira into the Rift.

Unaware of their villainous nature, Goten and Trunks are impressed by Towa’s appearance, much to Pan’s dismay, who interprets their admiration as perversion. Playing along, Towa agrees to "help" Tekka’s Team, pretending to repay Trunks for his actions in the future.

Upon locating Broly, Towa decides to harvest his energy to strengthen Mira. Using her magic, she transforms Broly into a Golden Great Ape and orders him to battle Tekka’s Team, ensuring Mira gains more energy. However, after Broly’s defeat, Towa chooses to hold back, hoping to extract even more energy as Broly recovers. Before they can act, however, Beerus arrives and obliterates Great Ape Broly effortlessly. At the sight of Beerus and Whis, Towa decides to flee.

A Deadly Saiyan

After defeating Great Ape Ultra Pinich, Tekka’s Team can access the Sub-Event: "A Deadly Saiyan" in Area 4 of the Timespace Rift. They reunite with Adult Goku, who inquires about their training. However, Towa sneaks up on them and uses her magic to control Goku’s body.

With Broly still under her influence, Towa forces them to perform EX-Fusion, resulting in the creation of Karoly (Goku + Broly), who faces off against Tekka’s Team.

Yet, Karoly proves resistant to Towa’s control due to his overwhelming power. Realizing she cannot maintain control, Towa retreats with Broly. Afterward, Goku reveals that he allowed Towa to control him, merely to experience fusing with Broly, an opportunity that otherwise would have been impossible due to Broly’s hatred for him.

A Special Sparring Partner

After completing the Timespace Tournament and the main story, Towa and Mira appear in the Alien City (Area 4F). Speaking with them triggers the Sub-Event: "A Special Sparring Partner", leading to a battle against Mira and his four mystery allies. Defeating them allows Towa and Mira to join Tekka’s Team.

Fantastic Fusions

In Sub-Event: "Saiyan Saga: Fantastic Fusions", Towa requests Tekka’s Team to find a female Saiyan for her to fuse with. They recruit Gine, but Towa rejects her, deeming her too weak. However, once Towa herself is recruited, this quest allows for Towa and Gine to perform EX-Fusion.

Similarly, in Sub-Event: "Robot Saga: Fantastic Fusions", Towa requests a robot fusion partner. Tekka’s Team recruits Arale, completing the quest. Once Towa is recruited, this enables Towa and Arale to perform EX-Fusion.

Xenoverse 2

Towa appears alongside Mira and the Masked Saiyan as they locate Turles and Lord Slug. When Slug nearly clashes with Mira, Turles intervenes and asks Towa if she brought what he requested. She confirms and hands them enhanced Fruit of the Tree of Might, infused with the power of the Demon Realm, granting them unparalleled strength. As Turles departs, Mira suggests reprogramming them, but Towa dismisses the idea, noting that they are already causing havoc across history. She reassures Mira that everything is under control while glancing at the Masked Saiyan.

Later, it is revealed that Towa tainted the fruit with dark magic, continually amplifying Slug and Turles’ power. She also enhances Frieza’s strength and summons Cooler to Namek during Goku and Frieza’s final battle, allowing the brothers to fight Super Saiyan Goku together.

During the Android saga, Towa boosts Imperfect Cell’s power beyond Android 16’s, enabling him to overpower and absorb both 17 and 18 immediately. This transformation into his Perfect form bypasses the events leading to the Cell Games, though the Future Warrior ultimately corrects this. At the Cell Games, while Mira distracts Xeno Trunks and the Future Warrior, Towa summons the Meta-Cooler Corps through a Wormhole to interfere in Super Saiyan 2 Gohan’s battle against Cell. This forces the Future Warrior and Xeno Trunks to travel to New Namek in Age 767 to halt the influx of Meta-Coolers.

In Age 780 of Trunks’ timeline, Towa activates and corrupts Future Android 16, ordering him to kill Future Gohan before his fight with Future 17 and 18. Future Gohan and the Future Warrior defeat him, prompting Mira to intervene. This leads Xeno Trunks to defy the Supreme Kai of Time, nearly altering his own history to save his mentor. However, Future Gohan and the Future Warrior convince him to stand down. Towa later repairs Future 16 and sends him, alongside Future Perfect Cell, to Age 785 to ambush Xeno Trunks as he returns from the Cell Games, though the Future Warrior prevents their mission.

At some point, Towa acquires an Energy-Suction Device akin to Babidi’s and has the Masked Saiyan use it to empower Mira after his defeat at the hands of Xeno Trunks, Future Gohan, and the Future Warrior. She also gains control over Broly and Janemba, unleashing them against Majin Buu while the Masked Saiyan gathers energy from the battles.

Towa’s interference extends to Age 779, where she revives Cooler using the Dragon Balls' second wish—originally taken by the Pilaf Gang—so Metal Cooler can aid Golden Frieza’s revenge. She also deceives Beerus and Whis by imitating Chronoa’s voice, luring them to the Time Nest in Age 852 under the false pretense of a Time Nest attack. To further manipulate Beerus, she bribes him with cream puffs, claiming they were made by Xeno Trunks, as Beerus despises Chronoa’s cooking. This deception keeps Whis from saving Goku and his allies when Frieza destroys Earth. However, Xeno Trunks rescues the Future Warrior, leading Beerus to angrily order Whis to restore events using his Temporal Do-Over. Towa retaliates by forcibly evolving Metal Cooler and Golden Frieza into their Supervillain forms, but they are defeated by Super Saiyan Blue Goku, Vegeta, and the Future Warrior.

Following this, Chronoa and Elder Kai investigate how Towa and Mira turned Bardock into the Masked Saiyan. Xeno Trunks and the Future Warrior trace Towa’s actions and discover she used a Wormhole to rescue Bardock from Planet Vegeta’s destruction, indirectly causing the events of Episode of Bardock. Towa captures Bardock after his battle with Chilled, modifying him and brainwashing him into the Masked Saiyan. During their confrontation, Towa reveals her goal: merging the Demon Realm with the universe to create a “garden of evil.” Xeno Trunks refuses to let this happen.

Freed by the Time Patrol, Xeno Bardock retains the power gained from Towa’s modifications. Furious at being manipulated, he drags Mira through a Wormhole Towa had created to trap Xeno Trunks and the Future Warrior. Towa, lamenting Mira’s loss, reveals she still controls the original Future Warrior, Ace. Ace and the second Future Warrior battle, and once freed, Ace helps undo Towa’s latest scheme. However, Towa travels back to Age 850 to kill Shenron before Xeno Trunks can summon Ace, creating a massive time distortion that erases Ace’s existence. Xeno Trunks, regaining his memory through the mask Towa used on Ace, has the second Future Warrior travel to Age 852. With Xeno Trunks' past self, they prevent Towa from interfering, forcing her to retreat.

Unbeknownst to them, Towa’s true goal was to infiltrate the Time Nest. Using Ace’s mask, she bypasses its security and attacks Chronoa, revealing she sought Tokitoki’s Egg, which holds the power to create new timelines. She revives Mira using the egg’s energy, and he wounds both Xeno Trunks and Ace. The Future Warrior pursues them to Age ???, where Towa and Mira rule over Earth. As Mira fights, Towa realizes he has bypassed his power limiter, endangering the universe. She reluctantly helps the Future Warrior defeat him, but Mira, now independent, betrays her. Declaring himself beyond her control, he absorbs both Towa and Tokitoki’s Egg, leading to his ultimate demise at the hands of Super Saiyan Blue Goku and the Future Warrior. Before dying, Mira apologizes to Towa.

Chronoa later reveals that the five Distorted Time Eggs, scattered due to Towa’s failed attempts to artificially recreate Tokitoki’s Eggs, created unstable time rifts. These distortions indirectly led Xeno Trunks to alter the past and destroy Future 17 and 18 alongside Future Gohan in Age 780. However, Chronoa either restored the original timeline or a new version of Xeno Trunks emerged, preserving the Time Patrol’s mission.

While investigating Frieza’s Spaceship time rift, the Future Warrior learns that a mysterious woman—likely Towa—gave a Distorted Time Egg to a soldier named Navel. Chronoa remains uncertain of Towa’s true intentions with these eggs, speculating she either sought to discard them or used them to divert the Time Patrol’s attention. Towa’s actions may have indirectly led to Frieza’s Siege on Conton City, though her involvement remains unclear.

During the Infinite History Saga, it is revealed that during her infiltration of the Time Nest in Age 852, Towa secretly altered Age 774’s Time Scroll to prevent her brother’s death while erasing any evidence of her interference.

Following her death, Towa seemingly resides in Earth's Hell. In a humorous twist, Goku delivers a gift (a bikini swimsuit) to her at the request of the Future Warrior. Outraged at receiving such an inappropriate gift from an enemy, Towa attacks Goku, forcing him to flee in terror rather than fight back. Completing this event unlocks a new costume and skill set for Towa.

Trivia

  • In Dragon Ball Online, a character named Pare strongly resembles Towa.
  • In Dragon Ball Xenoverse, if the Future Warrior wears Dabura’s clothes while speaking to Elder Kai, the latter comments on Dabura’s younger sister, mentioning her beauty.
  • In Xenoverse 2, Elder Kai finally sees Towa through the Scroll of Eternity during the 2nd Future Warrior’s battle against Turles and Lord Slug on Namek in Age 762. He later meets her in person when she invades the Time Nest in Age 852, but he makes no remarks about her appearance, likely due to the gravity of the situation.
  • In Dragon Ball Fusions, both Goten and Kid Trunks find Towa extremely attractive, with their comments being perceived as perverted by Pan. This aligns with Trunks’ established interest in girls, as seen with Mai, and Goten’s later interest in dating in GT.
  • Trunks’ attraction to Towa is ironic given that his future counterpart is her enemy. However, he was unaware of her villainy until she betrayed Tekka’s Team, revealing that Trunks had interfered with her and Mira’s plans. Pan, unaware of Towa’s villainous nature, assumed Trunks was at fault, contrasting with his heroic Time Patroller counterpart.
  • Towa is responsible for the EX-Fusion of Goku and Broly into Karoly in Dragon Ball Fusions. While she seemingly controls Goku despite his resistance to dark magic, Goku later reveals he allowed it to happen because he wanted to fuse with Broly. This suggests that dark magic can affect divine beings if they allow it, similar to how Beerus tricked Demigra’s mirage. This parallels Vegeta’s conscious decision to let Babidi control him as Majin Vegeta, implying he could have resisted if he chose to.
  • Towa’s name likely comes from the Japanese word “Towa” (永遠), meaning “eternity.”
  • Her hairstyle is available in Xenoverse 2 for female Humans and Saiyans, though with a shorter right-side bang and no hairband. It also appears in Dragon Ball Fusions for female Tekka, retaining the hairband. Some generic female characters, like Bagetta, share this hairstyle, and EX-Fusions involving Towa (such as Towale) blend her traits with others, like Arale’s.
  • Towa’s outfit appears as DLC in Xenoverse and is obtainable in Xenoverse 2, though the latter version lacks her tailcoat-like skirt and high heels, likely for compatibility reasons. Her hairband and earrings are also absent, as earrings are not included as accessories.
  • Despite Dabura being a playable DLC character in Xenoverse 2, Towa has no special dialogue when teaming up or fighting against him, which is common for DLC characters. However, she does have unique dialogue when facing Piccolo, where he asks if her attack is revenge for Dabura, to which she cryptically responds.
  • It is later revealed in the Infinite History Saga that Towa secretly altered the Scroll of Age 774 to save Dabura from death, though she ironically perished not long after in Age ???, triggering Dabura’s vendetta against the Time Patrol.
  • Towa is the first female main antagonist in the Dragon Ball franchise and the first and only female villain to kill a version of Goku in any media. She is also the second person, and the first female villain, to kill Shenron.
  • She facilitates the deaths of Goku and Gohan in several altered timelines, though these events are typically undone by the Time Patrol’s intervention.
  • Towa shares similarities with Android 21, as both are attractive female scientists created by Akira Toriyama and introduced in video games.
  • Her artificially created offspring, Fu, inherits her scientific genius but differs in his motivations. Unlike Towa, Fu seeks to improve the world and opposes Dabura, though his experiments often disrupt history, making him a neutral figure rather than purely good or evil.
  • Before her absorption, Towa ironically worked alongside the Future Warrior to prevent Mira from overloading and destroying the universe, meaning she helped save it from her own creation.
  • Despite being a demon, Towa’s appearance bears similarities to an Angel.
  • Iwaza, a Galactic Patrol Prisoner from the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga, resembles Towa.
  • In Big Bang Mission 6, there is an error where Towa (Demon Goddess third version) has no victory dialogue.
  • Masayuki Hirano, producer of Dragon Ball Xenoverse, confirmed in an interview that Towa was created by Akira Toriyama himself.
